I remixed one of my favourite Abney Park songs, my brother figured out two pieces of the melody on guitar, the first one by himself, the second because I asked him too. I'm not good at recreating melodies from other songs.

And actually, I lied, I have more than one favourites from Abney Park including Off The Grid, The Story That Never Starts, Downtrodden, Wanderlust, Building Steam and Wanderlust. If you get the meaning of those songs, you probably understand why I like all of them, there's a running theme. I also never edited any actual audio, everything is in MIDI and I put it together myself, the only things from the original are two melodies that I put there.

Anyways, this remix sounds more like an extreme makeover. Changes may be made in the future, like editing mastering and tweaking one synth a bit.

And, as for using this GONG-synth(or wahtever you want to call it), I did it because I accidentally made one when crafting a brass synth, this sounded better so I chose this one. So that's my excuse, I didn't do it because Joshua Pfeiffer of Vernian Process used one. There may have been a motivator to choose that synth though.

Also, I highly recomend listening to the original, the Vernian Process Remix and the 2011 version, they all rock.

And if somebody know, please let me know what genre I just did. I have no idea, I usually make glitch and glitch hop, so...

The track on soundcloud seems to end on in the middle of the release of the last synth meldoy. So I'll add another download link when I can with the few extra seconds in it. :P
