Two of the fine young (moody)men behind the counter at Peckham's Rye Wax have done the honourable thing and provided everyone with a true winter warmer. "No Hurry" may invoke taking it slow, but the choppy hats, gentle keyboard lead, loping bassline and - you guessed it - beckoning female vocal found on the track amount to something subtly sensual.

It's Not too dissimilar to Adesse Versions or Dan Shake, a pair of artists who emerged like a vision from last December's biting winds and greyscale skies, FYI Chris' 10" is soft-tone, modal house music; simple as.

CHURCHW002 sees release on Mon 15th.

Fresh from the release of the superb 'Heavy' EP, a killer combination of deep house/bass music fusion in his inimitable style, Malik Kendricks makes his bow on Groovence. The headline attraction is undoubtedly 'A Thousand Wishes', a (drum machine) handclap-heavy slab of spacey and gently jazzy deep house lusciousness that Roy Vision later turns into a heavily swung slab of hard-to-pigeonhole, Motor City style tech-jazz eccentricity. There's plenty to set the pulse racing across the rest of the EP though, from the bustling beats, Yorkshire bleeps, classic samples and shimmering keyboard riffs of 'That 90s Feeling', to the ultra-deep, off-kilter excellence of 'Bilene' and the rolling, sunrise-fresh positivity of 'Kairos'.

Now lot of people don’t like Mondays and we think that’s fair enough; going back to work feeling a decade older after a heavy weekend spent making memories with friends can be a chore for even for the most optimistic of us as we trudge back in to the daily grind.  Luckily, help is at hand as we've secured Dominica's unreleased summer anthem 'Gotta Let You Go'.

Having caused quite a stir in clubs and festivals across the globe throughout warmer months, we had feared that the track wasn't going to get an official release despite the likes of Jackmaster and Skream championing the track in their sets.

Thus we were delighted to hear that it would finally be arriving via Altra Moda Music this November and quickly set about securing it for premiere. Rock solid grooves, pumping synths and rolling snares underpin catchy, redolent vocals for a sunshine soaked floor filler guaranteed to ward off those winter blues.
