Do you ever just want to call someone? Like for example your old buddies from the dubstep forum you called your friends in 2008, but you never met in real life?

You got into a big fight over the bro-stepification of the sound, and you lost not just your spirit but also your friends that went deeper into the doomed direction the genre was going. While you found assurance and peace in a post-dubstep world, that made the club-specific production finally listenable on your iPod classic headphones.

I know it's hard out here and dubstep has not been the same. Sometimes somewhere at a festival for a moment you may think it's back and everything can be as you remember it.
Yet, it's also ok that it's not. Maybe it's time to move forward and let things of the early 2000s be what they were.

Beatrice M. can’t bring you back your youth. They were probably even too young to use a computer back then. But for some reason this is what their new 2 Track Single “Call / Response” brings us back to. Reminiscing about the roots of an omnipresent genre while emerging with their own production style. Familiar sounds spin perfectly placed over a punchy kick drum. Simple, pure and genius. It’s a new direction for them, twisting their technoid and dub oriented influences, yet also an educated ode to the many productions that defined the sound of Beatrice.

“Call / Response” is a bass heavy love affair, calling on all the right highs and lows for the heads. Go buy it!

The album begins with Wave Wave with its uplifting bass arpeggio, followed by Martian with its unique breaks and organic vibes. The title track, Flat W, showcases an even kick, and closes with Bug Bait, one of the most functional DJ tools on the album, with precise programming and sound design backed by Drum'n'Bass' experience. The ultimate club tool has been completed.

Artificio’s cofounders, Passq (fka Arcane Prospect) and Rainmaker, take their sound in bold new directions with a four-track EP that mixes raw energy with sharp, forward-thinking production. Kicking off with «Midas Touch», Rainmaker blends his techno and ambient roots with fresh ideas, setting the tone for what’s to come—deep basslines and rich atmospheres that hint at his past while pushing into new territory.

Passq follows with «Sin Perse» and «Randy», where intricate sound design, distorted rhythms, and heavy bass are combined with a touch of dark humor. The EP closes with «Amour Fou», a “hyperbass” track, filled with both longing and optimism, echoing a desire for transformation.

Yas Reven takes charge of the next release on Nerve Collect with her Sudden Mist EP. It features five tracks of avant-garde club music and comes with a 3Phaz remix.

Italian-born innovator Yas Reven is based in Milan and has a love of architecture that inspires how she structures her sophisticated sounds. As a dynamic DJ, she traverses a full spectrum from techno and bass music to breakbeat and has recently put out her first productions on Bristol-based label Hardline. After that EP turned plenty of heads, she now backs it up with more thrilling and hard-to-define club cuts.

The EP opens up with 'Sudden Mist', Reven's knack for expert percussive designs shines through as tin pot hits, splintered wood and metal throngs all pepper a loopy techno rhythm. It's intense yet serene, physical yet meditative. 'Etoy' keeps the pressure on with more intriguing sound designs, thumping bass and lurching techno loops that never stop evolving and keep you utterly locked in. 'Mad Drop' is a futuristic blend of whirring loops and twanging synth sounds over hammering broken beats that lead to dance floor takeoff.
