Of Grog Vim is a cinematic take on the epic life of visionary legend Grog Vim. 
This is the 15th album from Italian cult band, Larsen, who represent a meeting point between sound art and post-rock. 

After two albums deeply marked by the smoky voice of singer Little Annie, Of Grog Vim is the first fully instrumental album to be released by the band since they started 20 years ago and features special guest multi-instrumentalist Thor Harris (Swans) on trombone on two pieces.

Taken from debut album 'to the top of the hill and roll...' opening track 'wind up bird' showcases the scope of dynamics in the musical arrangement of the record. It begins with subtle, earthly bird noises and a hypnotic guitar loop. As the song develops, this loop remains still amidst a flurry of atmospheric sounds and percussion.

'Time Is Not Your Friend' is the second single taken from CUTS' forthcoming album 'A Gradual Decline'.

Reflecting the current fragility of the planet, the drum sounds on this track were taken from field recordings taken in Iceland:

"I managed to capture the sound of ice cracking from the stress of water and in the distance, ice calving from its glacier. The first half of this track has a darkness to it but then it opens up into something more hopeful. That kind of feels like where we are in terms of climate and its predicted breakdown. It’s not a totally hopeless situation but it looks like it will take everyone pulling in the same direction to halt it. Time is not our friend in that respect." - Anthony Tombling Jr, CUTS
