Since his first meeting with label-head Matthew Anthony in Los Angeles, 2013, Mark Starr has been an integral part of the Perfect Driver team. Fulfilling the role of A&R, he's put out several artists we love including Sage Armstrong, Alex Index, Fritz Carlton and Sven Lochenhoer.

Among Mark's prized discoveries is Lux Groove who stood out with his 2014 release on Perfect Driver, 'Got Em.' Since then, the two have teamed up on several collaborations, releasing music on respected labels like DIRTYBIRD, Anabatic, This Ain't Bristol and Sounds Of Sumo.

We're happy to host songs from both artists in 2017 and this time, together, for their first collaborative EP on Perfect Driver titled Know This, who's goosebump inducing basslines hooked us immediately.

One should be on the lookout for more music from Mark Starr and Lux Groove and rumor has it we'll be seeing them together at some live shows soon. Until then give us a shout on twitter if you're feeling the tunes.

Some words about the track:
In the summer of 2015 i produced this wonderful song "Keep Up" sung by Richard Judge and since then the song stayed close to both our hearts. It was originally released in January 2016 as part of the Messiah release on Get Physical but as the title track Messiah did really well "Keep Up" was kinda over-heard.
So when Get Physical got in touch about re-releasing the song in the summer 2017 (as a stand alone single) me and Richard quickly "green-lighted" the idea. Get Physical asked me to make another edit of the original but it was hard to touch that piece which already felt 100% like it should be + Few Nolder had already done a perfect touch up of that original.
So i ended up remixing myself. Normally thats really hard but the new and more clubby vibe came quite natural to me. I actually ended up using nothing from the original but a hihat-loop and of course Richard's amazing vocal.
I still love the lyrics and the way Richard sing this song - so needless to say i am happy to have these vocals sitting on top of a more club-minded version for my sets.

Newcomer to the Stil vor Talent fold is Berlin techno composer Tim Engelhardt, who hits all the high notes and adds a dash of exotic tropicalia with ‘A Million Sunsets’.

Mysterious Swedish duo Elfenberg have graced the decks at many of our festivals and parties, and we just can’t stop loving the steady groove of the movement filled, driving soundscapes of ‘Danny’.

pølaroit kick it out of the park with ‘Bound to Each Other’, a melodic uptempo affair featuring the sublime vocals of HRRSN.

A deep bow to label founder Oliver Koletzki, who has carried forth the vision of Stil vor Talent to create an ever-growing coterie of music aficionados, offering them the support and the platform to share their styles and talents with the world.
