An electronic music producer from Portland, OR. FLX, also known as Shane Teal, is a recording artist who has released music on labels such as Mindcolormusic, Evel Records, Gablonkers, and his own label on Bandcamp. His first released music in 2016, and has had consistent output in the styles of braindance, breakbeat, ambient, and electro. He hopes you enjoy this mix of all original music.

1. Which artists has influenced you the most?

- I was a massive fan of Rephlex and everything they put out. I really love the new wave of artists that came about right before they closed; Wisp, Jodey Kendrick, and EOD. And obviously I’m a huge Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and BOC fan. I am also a movie buff, so I get inspired by older sci-fi and horror films i.e. John Carpenter + Alan Howarth.

2. What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- Currently, I am working on an EP for Evel Records, it should be a split with someone I won’t name at the moment. Also, another split with a producer I really admire. I am always working on releasing EPs/Albums on my own bandcamp and try do at least one a year. Oh, I also have a track coming out on a netlabel I run with a few other amazing producers. It’s called Gablonkers. This will be a compilation album. No idea when any of these will come out tho…

3. Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?

- I always stick with the classics and never bore of my favorite records, but for more recent stuffs; Analogical Force, Love Love Records, WEME, and CPU to name a few. Bandcamp is amazing for finding obscure and not so obscure musicians that make incredible music, I dig through that a lot and find tons of great music. One recent album I like that comes to mind is Profane Architecture by Head Technician.

4. What inspires you now to create music?

- I just like the way I feel when I make music. I like challenging myself to learn and be creative. I think music is the best way to do that.

5. What set-up do you use when creating music?

- I have a small studio in the basement of my house. I mostly work in the box and use Ableton as my main DAW, but use a variety of other software like Renoise and Reaktor. I like to incorporate hardware as much as possible tho. I use the Minilogue XD all the time, Digitone, and a Sequential Take 5, among others. I use anything and everything, software or hardware.

Acidic Male has an interest in industrial sounds, hypnotic drum patterns and experimental vocals. Having her performer name as a revenge title, she searches to “other” herself into the position of a poetic perpetrator. Her sounds have been described as “elegant industrial”, yet in her selections she attempts to showcase her love for genre-wide experimentalism. For Current Moon Phase she curated a few current uptempo electronic favourites with a few 80’s tape digs and more.

This talented producer, DJ, and live performer has been making waves and then some with his raw blend of electronics, clearly inspired by the Dutch west coast style but with his own twist. He's killed releases with EPs and singles on labels we love such as Feral Colony, Sons of Traders, Dead Channel Records, and most recently as a collab with Los Narvalos Locos. Poperttelli is an electronic music producer coming from france. He has the last years released music on different labels like Brokntoys and Lost Dogs Entertainement, as well as on his own label Maturre. Recently he has composed the score of Ekaitz Sortzailea, a medium-lenght film by Alex Parizet. His music is driving through different genres from soundtracks-like illy ambient, electro or slowmo rolling bangers.

On 26 February, hundreds of Israeli settlers went on a violent late-night rampage in Huwara and other villages in the northern West Bank, leaving one local resident dead and 100 others injured and the town ablaze.

This compilation of music was put together in order to raise funds that can hopefully give some aid to the residents of Huwara, all of the proceeds Confused Machines make from digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il An NGO that works in the occupied Palestinian territory, promoting Palestinians' right to health and providing direct medical and humanitarian assistance.

The compilation hosts a roster of both local and international artists spanning a wide spectrum of leftfield electronic music. Acid, Drone, Noise, Downtempo, Techno, SoundCollage and more.
All of these tracks are new and have not been heard before, many of them have been created with Huwara and Palestine in mind.

Though we know our reach is limited, we see this as a part of a bigger political effort to help raise awareness in our artistic circles and set motion to positive forces in dark times.
