Zwischen Popmelodien, Breakbeat, rosa Sonnenbrille und DJ-Pult setzt ein Kölner in Berlin neue Akzente: Malugi. Die gleichnamige "Malugi Energy" bahnt sich bei seinen DJ-Sets regelmäßig den Weg von der Peaktime im Club in die Instafeeds all jener, die ausgelassenes Feiern lieben. Malugi ist als DJ gefragt, aber vielmehr als Producer bekannt: Songs wie 'Sorry I can't', 'The Homies' oder 'Zizou' (gemeinsam mit Nature PCP) dürfen auf keiner Pre- oder Afterhour fehlen. Sein musikalischer Ausdruck, ob als DJ oder Producer, lässt sich vor allem als high res und high spirit beschreiben – und bleibt dabei angenehm unironisch. Unsere Autorin traf Matteo Brossette aka Malugi zum digitalen Tête-à-Tête und hat ihn zu seiner Veranstaltungsreihe "Club Heart Broken", seinen Idolen aus der Szene und seiner ungebrochenen Liebe zu Pop befragt. Being introduced to music at a very young age, Freya K. has been a singer and guitarist since then, produced her own indie music and finally found her way into the electronic music world in her early twenties. Her joyful and energetic personality is implemented in her sets as she tries to give the positive energy on to the dancers and listeners. Freya's sound is heavily influenced by oldschool techno but not specifically bound to genres as she loves to play with oldschool house, breaks and progressive house gems. She is one of the co-founders of berlin based xcuse:u collective.

Taking you on a trip through fast house, groovy techno and trance, this mix embodies Mohajer's well-seasoned taste down to a T, and features some of her favourite producers at the moment, as well as forthcoming releases from friends, family, and strangers that she's blown away by.

Jacklyn is a techno DJ/Producer based in Newcastle navigating through puristic techno styles. Her music is a clear reflection of why she curates such organic sounds within the underground scene in the North of the UK. In her impressive contribution, the previous Rinse FM radio guest toys with atmospheric landscapes, cooking together moodier raw European techno styles with synth-loaded Detroit-esque bombs. 

Jacklyn’s self released productions via her bandcamp page has gained traction among many artists contributing to the darker and hypnotic techno sounds and was also welcomed to a trip in Berlin for her legendary Tresor debut last year.

Here is the recording of my 3h set at Tresor New Faces hosted by Distinkt Agency on May 10th, 2023. 

I have collected all my favorite tracks since my very beginning as a DJ until now + some unreleased material & tracks which I have never played before. 

A big thanks to Distinkt Agency for invite and trust, to all producers who shared their unreleased stuff. To Austin for recording this set and to all friends who showed up to support me <3

As co-founder of @untermradar.kollektiv, he jointly organizes events such as the Vinyl Night that shake up the club scene in Karlsruhe.
