My friend (singer/songwriter) Evie Pikler, made a short video of a little creature spinning on a thread from a tree.... I was inspired to create a soundscape to go with it. I began with creating a spacious backdrop then asked my friend, Wil Greenstreet (saxophonist/composer) if he would add to it.  He sent me some wonderful flute and bass.  I've just realised this is the version without the poem, so will add a second version.  We hope you love both!

Australian Rock diva and lifelong friend Bobbi Marchini agreed to do this demo of a song I co wrote with my (late) brother Russ called 'Critical Day'.  My gifted niece Kim Groom came on board for backups and I did a tad towards the end; along with the marvellous (not!) keyboards.  Still I love this sparse version, kindly demoed at Sony Studios (year forgotten) some time ago...will try to remember more. We hope you enjoy it and will post more versions of it also.

I wrote this song many moons ago with a mixture of my late brother Russell and my lyrics....the melody and chords followed easily and all I had was a very sparse demo until Kirk kindly came on board and added that additional backing track and fab keys.

I wrote the lyric many moons ago and then many moons later invited my wonderful friend (late) Bruno Libert, the gifted Belgium pianist/composer to further develop it with me.  With a basic melody already underway, Bruno created this lovely demo for me.  Bruno and I were both founding members of Esperanto Rock Orchestra (A & M 1973) but never wrote together during those hey days.

I have named this after a force of nature; my late friend Gaille Jang...the soundscape depicts a woman in a city making her way wearing high heels....bringing unknown bands to the fore.....making her way in a man's world and accomplishing so much and leaving us too soon.  Always loved and living here in this soundscape. I began completing the lyric based on some lyrics that my late brother Russell had scribbled down some time back.  Years went by and I tried a few possible directions of taking the song.  Along came two budding songwriters called slaterr who completed the task by adding lyrics, melody and the great vocals and backing track.  We hope you enjoy hearing it.  We'd love your feedback.  This is the upbeat version; so let's call it Version 1.

David Lucas and his late father, Bill Lucas, an acclaimed Sydney architect attended my voice workshops held by the "Once Extra Dance Company" back in the "80's". Adventurous , creative souls with no holds barred on what was the beginnings of Danse Danse. It was then called "Dance Out Of Beat" and was a commentary on the club scene that I'd very much been a part of in the "60's" In recent times I invited Annette Scott on board who has brought it brilliantly to fruition along with my longtime collaborator, Jazz pianist/composer, Kirk Kadish. Now we have a new take on the current dance scene with a touch of empowerment as to whom has the final moves.

A journey of love & light! I wrote the original drafts of SIDEWAYS in lockdown...whilst I couldn't escape the daily routines of a physically limited life, my imagination had the freedom to fly towards love and light! May all beings keep doing so!
