London producer John Dunk aka Cameo Blush has always had an eye for the more mind-bending and abstract spectrum of dance sounds. Starting out on Nick Höppner's Touch From A Distance before releasing on Unknown Untitled and Ross From Friends’ new Scarlet Tiger imprint, Dunk's fascination with off-kilter electronics has made him one of dance music's most interesting rising prospects of late. His latest offering is 'Lucky': three tracks which continue his left-field odyssey with a melange of skittered drums and moody pads.

Showing no signs of slowing down with two EPs under his belt already this year, Cameo Blush has toasted an exclusive mix for Dummy sprinkled with some previously unheard material. "I wanted to put a lot of different stuff in this mix, and to try sum up the music that has influenced me over the last few years - a lot of these tracks I collected over lockdown in a big folder on my computer. It was fun to try and join the more disparate parts together in this mix," he says. "I'm usually quite precious about putting rough versions of my own tunes in mixes but decided to go for it with this one so there's a few old projects, demos and unreleased stuff in there."

Max Graef is at the centre of his own little musical world that includes being co-foudner of Money $ex Records and part of the Oye Records and Box Aus Holz crews. It’s a world of loose house grooves, jazzy influences and disco flourishes with lo-fi aesthetics that has spawned two essentials albums—on Tartelet and Nine Tune respectively—as well as countless singles. More recently he has delved into techno, though, proving that he is an inquisitive artist who has plenty of tricks up his sleeve. He is a wizard on a range of outboard gear as well as having some very real playing chops when it comes to keys, guitars and percussion.

As a DJ his organic style always comes through, which means his mix for us is an impromptu thing that calls on lots of different grooves. Sometimes hurried and minimal, at others spacious and deep, it’s a showcases of all the many influences that Graef distills into his own productions and is a nuanced listen that stands up to home listening. Included along the way are a couple of forthcoming solo tunes, as well as one with long time musical sparring partner Glenn Astro, so have fun picking them out.

Sam Interface’s contribution to Bleep’s mix series sees the R&S Records signee letting loose and running through a variety of bass-driven polyrhythmic productions. Across 78 minutes here the London-based DJ and producer brings together gqom, hard drum, UK funky, drum techno and various other styles from the global clubsphere’s cutting edge. The tracklist features artists who deliver both stylistic innovation and pure dancefloor magic - productions from Anz, Roska, DJ Plead and Cadenza all feature alongside a few tunes from Sam Interface himself - and Sam Interface finds a similar balance in his blends, letting the beats do the work while also using effects to inject further impetus into his mixing.

"I tried not to think about this mix too much, I put a bunch of my fav current tracks in a folder, added some older stuff that I always enjoy to play + some new bits from me, got in a room at Pirate Studios and pressed record. It's very percussive and drum focussed music, from all over the world, interesting grooves and naughty basslines! It took me a couple of goes to record something I was reasonably happy with and it's far from a perfect mix! But I think in this modern era of highly curated, perfect content, I prefer to listen to a mix where I can hear the DJ is just having fun. This mix is just me improvising, catching blends and tweaking FX on the fly, some of them work better than others but it was really fun to record and hopefully fun for you to listen to!" - Sam Interface
