“Elements” is a 4-part musical narrative that tries to reflect the main elements of nature through the sounds of electronic music. Here is a binaural version of these 4 original compositions and a bonus track 'Drawn In(to) Soundscape'. Compositions “Wind”, “Water Drops”, “Underground”, and “Fire” (Animated) were created for the spatial sound sphere at the Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy in Vilnius.

In this mini-album natural phenomena are musically transmitted by rhythm machines, synthesizers, and computers, while acoustic instruments are used in non-traditional techniques and alternated with analog and digital effects, often playing the role assigned to electronic music. Musical soundscape expresses through ambient and drone-like sound.

A conceptual electronic music label Future Sound Scientists (FSS Recordings) presents the very special release “Newborn” LP that delivers 13 original compositions created by electronic music duo Artfcl (Andrius Laucevičius and Matas Samulionis). Originally, all compositions were composed and recorded as a soundtrack for the electro-acoustic ballet “Newborn” whose emergence was inspired by famous Lithuanian graphic artist from the 50s and 60s Stasys Krasauskas works of art. 
Altogether, the soundtrack tells a story of a volatile love, depicting tender and touching encounters, the feeling of passion that follows after, and inevitably hurtful separation. Within the language of music, Artfcl recreates the spectacular difference of the inner worlds of two people and the vital connection between them that dawns, evolves, and gradually ends. 
As a performance, the electro-acoustic ballet “Newborn” was created in collaboration with the choreographer and ballet dancer from Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre Vaida Šniūrevičiūtė, visual artist Domas Verikas, light artist Naurimas Michailiuk, under the initiative of the Archive of Lithuanian Literature and Art. 
“Newborn” was partly sponsored by LATGA (Lithuanian Copyright Protection Association).

With our 32nd release we bring the full length album “Vox” from electronic duo “Artfcl”. The album consists of 14 tracks, all of which tell different stories and sound very different. One thing that travels through all the tracks and unites them is a bold sound, bold lyrics and vocals. A beautiful bouquet of different voices contributed to thecreation of the album, which helped to realize the works, some even inspired new works: actor Mindaugas Ancevičius used Valdemaras Kukulas verses in the work "Žemės Šaknų Įsikibę", the text created by stylist Kamilė Bukauskaitė inspired "Odė Vasarai", Lina Rovaitė gave uncontrollable energy to the piece "Scream"; even two tracks were recorded with Aistė "ABrokenLeg"Motiejūnaitė, as well as with Mantas "Maner" Kuzmickas. In several tracks, Artfcl members also tried their voices, hiding them under synthesizer sounds. The only track "Insider" does not use any vocals. So many different vocalists inspired the name of the album -"Vox" -which at the same time symbolizes courage, because sometimes you really need to gather a lot of courage to speak up. 

The album cover model is a fake person. "We named her Liza because she only needed a name. Lisa is an Artificial Human that we created using Metahuman capabilities. You will meet Liza again in the future, because she has already managed to starin the first clip of the album and we are talking to work with herin another one, we'll see -maybe we can come to an agreement. Also, Liza will participate in all the album presentation events." - Andrius and Matas say.

In the ninth release we deliver a two version single from Artfcl called “Bigger Than Us”.

Original version is a breakbeat anthem, full of electro and modular synthesizers accompanied by acoustic strings. The composition tells a dramatic story of the sense of community that is “Bigger Than Us”.

Artfcl remix paints a different approach towards the original version. It has a more IDM’ical resound with ambiental atmosphere.

“Bigger Than Us” is available in digital music stores as well as music streaming platforms.

We are honored to deliver our already twelfth release in the label catalog and a debut album called “Artificial” from Lithuanian duo Artfcl.

Artfcl is an idea that perfectly reflects current times, where the boundary between the living and digital or electronic worlds sometimes disappears, sometimes human being becomes a machine and a machine becomes a human being. In music, the band makes sense of this not only by combining live sounds with electronics but also by aligning their roles in the flow of music. An acoustic melodic instrument can mimic electronic rhythmic elements while electronics "sing" their melody. In this way, Artfcl creates a multi-faceted and highly diverse musical language, interweaving many seemingly incompatible styles of music such as IDM, Jazz, Techno, Breaks, Avant-garde, Acid Jazz, Pop, Ambient, Alternative, Electro or Trip-Hop.

Artfcl was formed in January 2020. Created by itself, because it was time for two peers to come up with one name that unites them. Andrius Laucevičius (creator of electronic music under the pseudonym of Phun Thomas) and Matas Samulionis (out-of-frame virtuoso of harmonies and modular synthesizers, saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist) have been working purposefully for several years and in 2019 presented an electro-acoustic ballet called “Newborn”, expanding electronic music with professional ballet soloists, video projections and light art.

With the creation of “Newborn”, several conceptually unsuitable ballet pieces were born that inspired the debut album “Artificial”. Artfcl's debut album "Artificial" consists of 16 tracks. All created by the duo themself, except “Drawn In(to) Soundscape” was edited by Marijus Adomaitis a.k.a. Ten Walls, whose artful injection into the composition is invaluable. According to the authors, efforts have been made to create the album in an extremely eclectic manner, so that neither the mood nor the musical styles nor the timbres will be repeated while listening to the album. The result is great - each track tells its own story, but at the same time complements the overall concept of the album.
