The Game Show

An Oscillographic Block was recorded twice—once for drums, and once for the bassline—and layered in a DAW. Each recording was sequenced using a MIDI2CV module and the OB's CV Inputs. No other modules, overdubs, or post processing were used.

OB Multitrack — Drums + Bassline

All 3 channels running parallel looping sequences to create a multi-voice patch. the patch is morphed around live using the Oscillographic Block's panel controls. No other modules, overdubs, or post processing were used.

OB Live Multichannel Performance

This recording represents a self-contained, self-playing Oscillographic Block patch created using nothing but the built in function generators and sequencers. Approximately half way through the recording, the CHIP CLOCK button is toggled, shifting the SN76489AN into its lower range. No other modules, overdubs, or post processing were used.

OB Multichannel Sequenced Patch

Another example of internal patching, this recording shows glitchy drum sequence achieved by patching the envelope EOR outputs into the RANDOM input set to drum mode. The result is an infinite stream of procedurally generated drum sounds. No other modules, overdubs, or post processing were used.

OB Infinite Procedural Drums

In this patch, the Oscillographic Block was sequenced from a DAW via a MIDI-to-CV module. The same drum pattern loops throughout, while the RANDOM button is periodically pressed to generate a new procedural drum kit. This shows the variety of drums sounds possible using the built in algorithms -even more results can be achieved by crafting individual drum sounds by hand. Other then the MIDI-to-CV module, no other modules, overdubs, or post processing were used.

This patch uses a MIDI controller keyboard and a MIDI-to-CV module to play the Oscillographic Block live.
