Summer is back and we are more than happy to have the chance to visit smaller open air venues and to be back behind the decks for one or another occasion. 

To keep up the good mood in crazy times, we invited our buddy Aline to provide you with 75 minutes of groovy tunes. 

Whether writing about music, or actually producing it: Swiss artist Aline is dedicated to this creative element in all its facets and varieties. As a journalist, she puts her musical sensibility on paper, as an artist she transforms words into sounds. 

Influenced by minimalistic patterns and crunchy beats she disconnects, what belongs together and unites what’s actually not destined. She commuted to her second residence in Berlin for a while, however is based in Zurich at the very moment.

For our July edition of this year's podcast series, Aline put together this fine selection of minimalistic, deep and groovy house records. We hope you enjoy her mix as much as we do and say thank you Aline.

Tom Rumpf AKA milKyman, Dj White and Circus C was born in early 80s in Szeged, Hungary. Raised by parents with lots of music attitude. He was 16 when he started warm up set playing on underground techno events. In that year wich was 1999 he had his first “all night long set” booking from Cafe Zone Club, wich one of the most important underground place was in that time in Szeged. After couple of events and finishing his study in secundary school, he decided to move to London. He spent there 3 years, collecting vinyls, made his music knowledge better and played sets in small bars and underground events. In 2012 he won a compatation hosted by Novation, Ableton and Bloc Festival. He had a chance to play his winning set on Stubnitz Boat at Block Festival, London. Nowadays he has several parties around Mannheim, such as Schlosskeller Darmstadt, Manufaktur Mannheim and EJR events in Heidelberg. But when he able to go back to Hungary he always organize something or take the invite from hungarian scene. He plays from house till techno almost everything, but he has couple of dub and breakbeat vinyl as well in his bag. In his sets he always try to travel between genres. Influenced him lots of artist Kraftwerk, Jean- Michel Jarre, Aphex Twin, Richie Hawtin, Moderat, Underworld, Daft Punk, Sven Väth and more, more and more...

Máté Si hails from Hungary and now calls Darmstadt home. He's a real expert when it comes to underground electronic music. His DJ sets are like a wild ride through different eras and musical genres. Máté has a unique perspective on music, thanks to his background as a physicist and experience playing the bass guitar. This comes through in both his own music and the sets he spins as a DJ.

We stumbled upon Máté's music through his recent edits, releases, and podcasts and were blown away. We knew we had to get him on one of our podcasts.

Chickejacke is a Berlin-based DJ and Producer. It's a vinyl-only project with focus on minimal music, especially for afterhour sessions. With a weekly radio show on USBR, he brought his favourite records to its listeners for over ten years. 

At the At the same time, he played a lot of gigs in famous Berlin Clubs like Sisyphos, Golden Gate, Wilde Renate, Hoppetosse and became a resident at SWG for more than two years. The passion for the sounds of the night and a collision of styles between House and Minimal make his musical vision. So jump on this train which moved off 20 years ago and let's find out where he arrives.

Meeting on the Romanian ocean-side during Sunwaves music festival in 2014 was no surprise as this lady has an obvious pair of well trained ears, making her underground knowledge very distinctive and her own personal sound as a DJ very unique. Having worked at one of London's most loved record stores (Blackmarket Records) for over 6 years and with an particular enthusiasm for vinyl, she was a valuable member of staff and asset to the store. It really is no wonder that Georgia has had the pleasure to play at underground institutions such as fabric and Club der Visionaere. Currently a resident for London’s notorious after-party, Keep on Going and with various guest bookings around the globe, she regularly plays alongside other talented artists and is highly regarded amongst her peers.
