Après une intro digne d’une musique de film fantasmagorique, la chanson emmène, au travers d’un texte poétique, dans les pensées, les hésitations et le choix d’un personnage dans lequel chacun peut se reconnaître à différents moments de sa vie.
Sur les Traces ses Aïeux est le premier morceau coproduit par le trio Esteban the late Artist / Ze Scott / Bribinvoile et le premier morceau d'Esteban diffusé sur les plateformes musicales.
