In 2018, Chlär officially announced himself by releasing his first EP on Bipolar Disorder Rec at the age of 20. His first involvement in the world of electronic music consisted of organizing illegal rave parties in his home country of Switzerland. 

Having played in several major club capitals in Europe - and having become at ease with the production of many genres: from straight forward techno, nostalgic trancy sounds, electro-break-your-neck beats, to old-school stomping grooves - Chlär readies his Lobster Theremin debut; a devastating four-tracker that’s as raw and uncompromising as the free parties from which it was spawned.



‘Forgot To Dream’ kicks the trance revival into full swing; an emotional party track brimming with euphoric ‘hands in the air’ moments - unting the worlds of hard dance and fun, no frills cheese that results in a deadly blend. ‘We Will Bring It Back’ is a little more pertinacious as we see those hands turn to fists, banging a metaphorical drum as frenzied rave samples and kicks as hard as concrete dominate. 


‘Double Dose’ sounds like something Sarumans Orc army would march to if electronic music was the order of the day in the LOTR universe; bruising kicks, alien atmospherics and glitchy techno inciting a mass frenzy before ‘Long Time No See takes us on a deep voyage direct to the underworld with a cut of typically loud and bloodcurdling rave.

"Looking at recent global events we simply can’t stay quiet. Electronic music was born within communities of Queer, Black and Latinx poeple. Having been started by people of colour to create spaces of expression and community, techno as a genre has a responsibility towards its Black heritage. It’s time to live up to this. 

U4E - United For Equity  is a platform that aims to promote equity among artists. We want a future where Black representation is more than just a short-lived social media trend, we want to make it a reality. What better place to start than a compilation featuring Black and non-Black artists. 
With “MELT THE POT“ we bring together music from around the globe to raise awareness and funds for a shared cause. Leaving it open for future collaborations.
We come together as allies, as activists and a music-based community. Systemic racism is a reality, police brutality is a reality, lack of justice is a reality, and we‘re standing with the victims of this sickening system. 

Nevertheless, privilege allows white artists access to exposure, capital and audience within the scene that is denied to Black people. The music industry like the rest of society is biased and bolsters structural racism. Inevitably, that creates a systemic injustice we as artists have to address together. White artists have to start using their privilege, elevating Black voices and making music a place where exchange and education can take place. 
 
All revenue from the compilation will be divided between two projects: The Bail Project is a critical tool to prevent incarceration and combat racial and economic disparities in the bail system in the US. The other half will go directly to Black Lives Matter, the organization at the forefront of what is happening right now globally. 

Without the artists involved “United 4 Equity“ wouldn’t have been possible. A huge thank you for creating this global and digital community to help those fighting for a better future. It’s time to give back to the community that gave us the music we love. "
