Closing with an intense, blistering set for the @community.bread x @beatport Reconnect fundraiser event at @publicrecordsnyc, which raised over $100,000 for @chooselove , an organization saving the endangered LGBTQ+ community of Ukraine by providing emergency medical care, food, shelter, clothes, and support for those fleeing the war. Thank you to everyone who tuned in and opened their wallets in support for the community overseas!
Personally impacted by this senseless war in Ukraine that continues to destroy my homeland, and has taken the lives of family, friends and innocent community members, this set was incredibly emotional, but served as an important cathartic release and I couldn’t ask for a better roster of friends and powerful talent to lead our NYC’s collective initiative. Special thanks to @mikeservito @ma_sha_music @morenxx_x , @juliagovor and @vcalderone for standing in solidarity and delivering such fierce sets—everyone really turned it out. A staple in New York’s growing queer underground, DJ and event producer Arthur Kozlov is known for his fast-paced, “cunty” percussive sounds that’ve taken the scene by storm. Arthur is co-founder of queer-centric livestream and resource platform @community-bread, and has launched collaborative initiatives elevating marginalized communities with parties like Zodiack and Agenda, while curating notable festivals like NYC’s iconic Fourth World and this year’s epic pool party at @sustain-release-nyc . Recently playing @beatport ReConnect Ukraine Fundraiser with artists like @mikeservito, @juliagovor & @victorcalderone, Arthur’s passionate closing set helped raise almost $100,000 for Choose Love, an organization assisting the LGBTQ+ community fleeing the war overseas.
