Prodigious American producer Nox Vahn (FKA Fairchild) is a standout act on Anjunadeep. He has garnered support from some of the biggest names in dance — Solomun and BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong to name a few— and has over 207K monthly Spotify listeners. His track “Come Together” was a hit from last year’s Anjunadeep 11 compilation, and has over 3.5 million Spotify streams. This heavy-hitting remix of an Above & Beyond classic is the producer’s second appearance on Anjunabeats after a stellar debut on the ‘Anjunabeats 14’ compilation with “Follow Me” (with Marsh and Mimi Page).

A song that is inspired by the restless, disjointed thoughts that race through the brain at 4am in the morning, Above & Beyond's "On Way Way To Heaven features the iconic vocals of longtime collaborator Richard Bedford. The single was originally released alongside the trance trio’s groundbreaking second studio album, ‘Group Therapy’.

The last sunday before the end of lockdown in France. Today, I explored the sequencer-arpeggiator mode of the Matrixbrute. Everything starts with a soundscape made with Clouds and slowly evolving to the main sequence. The harmony moves over a static sequence made with Metropolis, Elements and Rainmaker. I tried to quickly program a chorus who is supposed to sing the Virgil's phrase: "Nescia mens fati est orae sortisque futurae". It means : "How blind are the minds of men to fate and future events." Very more easy to do with a real choir !

Le dernier dimanche avant la fin du confinement en France. Aujourd'hui, j'ai exploré le mode sequencer-arpeggiateur du Matrixbrute. Tout commence avec un "soundscape" fait avec Clouds et qui évolue doucement vers la séquence principale. L'harmonie bouge au dessus d'une séquence statique faite avec Metropolis, Elements et Rainmaker. J'ai essayé de rapidement programmer un choeur supposé chanter la phrase du poète Virgile: "Nescia mens fati est orae sortisque futurae" . Elle signifie : "L’esprit ne connaît pas l’heure du destin ni le sort à venir ". Beaucoup plus facile à faire avec un vrai choeur !
