These 10 tracks rip through styles like a NOS-fueled tour of UK clubs. One minute you’re locked into a jungle breakbeat, the next you’re blindsided by shimmering Eskibeat, or a tense grime fiddle can jump out of the way of a strutting organ lead. Expect the signature ec2a sounds - gusty speedy g and drooping dubstep wubs - but there are nuggets of newness amongst the fray, like Robustt’s sickly acid synthscape, or TEXT’s bittersweet UK bass yearning. It’s a lock-in at the dingiest, smokiest, bassiest club in the world - high metal fences guarding the DJ booth while the dancefloor turns feral.

IsGwan, Osmosis Jones, Prizefight, and Waxx Off link up to create Inside Kru, a supergroup of four of Australia’s first team when it comes to garage shellers down under - no subs, no benchwarmers, just raw, starting-11 quality. “Back On Da Mic” is flashy garage house with a dizzy low-end, absolutely swarmed by straight-cut, scattered and sliding bass accents. Meanwhile, “Wickedest Sound” is tech house done their way - as a whirring bassline anchors a 12-inch-thick bounce, a jazzy organ vamps away like that of Jaydee’s “Plastic Dreams”. Tightly wound yet expressive, every individual loop of the two-tracker gets a signature touch from one of the boys to create a stimuli-heavy soundclash.
