As the reports keep coming in, I'm becoming anxious again.
My hands start trembling as I remember the close call from before.
One after the other, little dots appear on my radar, translating to squares on my HUD.
As they fill the horizon, my chest gets tight to the point where I can barely breathe anymore.

     “What do they expect us to do? There's no way we're getting out of here alive,” I shout to Klaudia.
     “Mary! Listen to me! We're not gonna die, okay? Calm down and breathe.”

     Tears are coming and I can't help it. The more I try to control them, the more I give in. My vision blackens as my breathing falls into an unhealthy rhythm.
"I should never have-"
Before I can finish, I hear the click of a harness and two hands come to rest on my shoulders.
I look up and barely have time to see Klaudia leaning over me.

     People always say one's chest gets tighter when they first kiss the person they love, but in this moment, Klaudia's lips have the opposite effect. It's like she's giving me oxygen to save me from drowning.
My burning lungs can finally open up and gasp for air as light and color come back to my vision.
I close my eyes and let myself drift, soothed by her scent and the minty taste of her tongue.
I could stay like this for hours but she breaks the kiss. I look at her, speechless.

     "We're gonna be okay, Mary. I promise you! Just do what you usually do, I've got your back!"

Suddenly, the threat proximity alert reminds us of what's ahead. I set my sight back towards our target and get ready...

I took vocals from a splice vocal pack and arranged them to make a melody.  The lyrics don't make much sense, but people usually don't listen to lyrics anyway so as long as I don't draw attention to it in the track title or description it will be fine.

Aimless Lyrics

An instrumental pop rock track inspired by Houkago Tea Time from the anime "K-On!"
The name is a nod to the band and their amazing song names such as "Honey Sweet Tea Time", "Heart-Throbbing Sugar" or "Can't Stop my Strawberry Parfait".
