The decision to create the techno album *Slush* came from a desire to explore the raw, unfiltered energy of sound and to push the boundaries of what techno music can express. Over time, I found myself deeply inspired by the dynamic and immersive nature of electronic music, especially its ability to connect listeners to powerful, emotional experiences. *Slush* was born from this inspiration — a collection of tracks that blend experimental beats, rich textures, and rhythmic depth, creating a sonic journey through the vibrant chaos of both the mind and the dancefloor.

The name *Slush* was chosen to reflect the album’s fluid and ever-evolving nature. It represents the melting of different influences and styles into a cohesive, yet constantly shifting, soundscape. Each track is a sonic layer, much like the varying textures of slush itself — a mix of crisp energy and smooth, introspective moments that flow together to create something truly unique.

Through this album, I wanted to express the excitement of letting go, of being lost in a moment, and of embracing the chaos of life with confidence. It’s an invitation to dive into a world where boundaries are blurred, and music becomes a vehicle for liberation and exploration. *Slush* isn’t just an album; it’s an experience, meant to be felt as much as it is heard.

Empty Room” is exactly what fans expect from underground heavy hitters within drum & bass, Marcos K-Marx & DJ LLIW has verified themself as artists who are carving out a place within the genre, with its tantalising builds and weaves through sways of synths & Jungle style beats, spurring its winding bassline which dips and bends between the mix. Stabs of female vocals split the composition by instrumental patterns kicking the sounds into life. “Empty Room” will pull in crowds for sure.

 “A song with several electro-acoustic elements, including the classic Moog bass, followed by a beautiful female vocal with a lo-fi efx, all of this could only require a funk drum kit with modern drum roll, this whole mix to result in something danceable and at the same time touching our spirit.”

 The dropping bass levels in “Body To Body” shake this track to its core. Each kick drives it’s impact deeper and deeper, before you’re pulled along by its crushing tides of sonic and bassy beats. Melodic female vocal samples sifting their way through the body of work whilst digging deep on the sound to prove Marcos K-Marx is staying true to his aesthetics.

 “A new update to the DAW I use (Logic) was recently released, and along with this update came new plugins that I was eager to test, one of them is Bass Studio, a bass emulator. I thought I'd try to make some bass lines and soon a simple melody came up that I needed to turn into a song, something funky... so I started making a very swinging drum kit, completing it with pads and other elements. Consequently, the need for a female vocal came up to bring a delicate and at the same time tense touch, and thus the song Body by Body was born. A simple test of a new tool brought me a new track and a new joy.”

 Winding up the release is “pump That” a naughty party favourite, booming gritty basslines and tight drum work, hard hitting synths that will get your party started.  

 “Just like empty room, it's a collaboration between Marcos K-Marx & DJ LLIW, it's not just about music, it's about friendship, a drum n bass roller, with aggressive vocals and space efx, something serious and mischievous, a special way to celebrate friendship and being eternally young.”
