Tagliabue’s impeccable groove and sound design combines avant-garde techno and trance aural textures. He arrives on Sound Metaphors’ Bless You label with four new pieces which mark once again his out-of-the-box music approach. A mix of ancestral weaves of Profonda Pulsione, unsettling atmospherics of Plasma and dense hypnotism of Medusa, Onda Sotto’s dominated by enveloping rhythms and transcendental atmosphere. Layered tracks that flowing over alternating cycles, the EP forms a collection of heavy sounds programmed for releasing deep unconscious pulsions and responding to the violence of the world, though not necessarily rationally.

After a quiet period due to intenses delays in the industry, Macadam Mambo is back to present a new LP by the greek musician Yannis Veslemes.

The confirmed artist - who has previously appeared on labels such as Byrd Out, Invisble Inc., Won Ton, Optimo Music or Into The Light, under differents projects : Felizol, Steamcut, Sportex or his own name, and composed for movies OST - started to integrate Macadam Mambo on the latest compilation Danzas Electricas vol. 3, and very naturaly proposed his new album. 

It needs to be said what an honnor to receive such quality music. In term of composition, production and universe! It’s a land of influences and uniqueness, in which you will recognise a bit of Yello, Coil, Nick Cave or Igor Wakhevitch vibes embrassing folkloric greek melodies or cosmic pop ballads. It’s brillantly dark, obscure and lightful. 

A tempest of sensuality and roughness. To say it short it’s EPIC! and will definitely give the recognition that Veslemes deserves as a major composer in Modern Electronic Music.

Macadam Mambo launches another special LP to end the 2022 season, presenting the debut album of this Belgo-Italian aural freak show called « Sexo Y Fantasia ». A delicious record full of sun by aspect, dreamy, dubby and balearic in the tone, flavored and contrasted with little bits of darkness and tension in the background. As the name suggests it, the sexiness is in every note, the erotic male voice is floating all over it, surfing on waves of endless reverb and delay. Throughout being anchored with clear hints from the 80ties and 90ties, this 35 minutes oeuvre still keeps full modernity in its form. DJ-friendly, it’s also an excellent overall listening experience to enjoy from beginning to end while sipping a fancy cocktail somewhere out in a cosmic dreamland.
Don’t miss this joint, it might be one of the highlights of the year.

SoundUnbound Recordings brings together artists from the east of The Netherlands for a Various Artists vinyl release.

The room was full of unfamiliar faces and unfriendly strangers, as soon as he entered he wanted to leave. He was sure he’d know at least a few people, that they’d welcome him with open arms and bring him into the fold. The reality was much different though. It left a sour taste in his mouth and made his stomach squirm uncontrollably. Everyone here already had their inner circles and their close-knit friendship groups, why would they need to embrace anybody new? 

SoundUnbound Recordings boss Fentom is shining a light on the talents in his local stomping ground in the east of The Netherlands. Featuring music HGHR LVLS, Bastian Benjamin, Nerds With Acid, |grens|, Odaira and Oosterse Lach, and the label head himself, the VA vinyl release explores the fringes of acid, electro, techno and bass, with the aim of showing the world what’s happening in this lesser know underground scene.

Born in Greece, Pasiphae took up DJing and music production when she moved to the Netherlands five years ago. By 2016, she was confident enough to hold her own in the studio with Intergalactic Gary, with the resulting collaborative 12”, Made of Glass, winning praise for its floor-rocking rhythms and throbbing electronic instrumentation.

The Siphax EP, her first solo outing, is arguably even more solid. Packed with mutant alien funk (the superb title track), horror-fired dancefloor dystopia (throbbing opener “Tachynons”) and skewed electronic soundscapes (“Vertical Rotation”, which sounds like it could have been taken from the soundtrack of an early ‘80s art-house movie), the six tracks offer a neat summary of Pasiphae’s unique musical world.

Check out, in particular, the two-part murkiness and late night hum of “Quelque Chose De Mauvais” and “Quelque Chose De Mal”, which are creepy and clandestine in equal measure. If that’s not enough to set the pulse racing, turn your attention to EP closer “Hedera”, a beat-less but rhythmic romp through muggy, psychedelic pastures
