London rave label Godezz & staple UK club series Kyso Sound fuse their DNA coils and reveal to you the Genesis Pool. A glimpse into a world beneath ours, an ekosystem of subterranean currents and nu-life flickering in the depths. Genesis Pool is a various artists compilation comprised of eleven droplets of underground dance futurism; shimmers of grime, trance, jungle, ghetto and uk bass present a bio-sample that captures every strand of the current UK underground.

En las profundidades del reino del mar, el ritmo pulsante junto con las líneas melódicas nostálgicas se entrelazan con voces con fallas y energía introspectiva. El mismo lema se lleva a cabo cada vez que se sube a un par de CDJ, con esa misma convicción es el enfoque que Seli hizo para Nix, el bajo y la velocidad sustentan el trabajo con un sonido poderoso, perfecto tanto para discotecas nocturnas como para escuchar introspectivamente.

Rose Again - Sleepless Dub

On Escape from the Club, Alec Pace makes his return to All Centre, following up his Absolute Pressure EP from 2019 with four wonky, breakneck techno cuts.

Opener Linea kicks off proceedings with a buoyant approach to electro. Encouraging shouts of “come on” are filtered through disorienting FX, usher in sliding synth lines. As the track progresses, the frenzied synths increase in intensity before giving way to a skeletal drum beat.

On the second track Drowning, throbbing kick drums pair with skizzed-out hi-hats. The track’s wonky, rolling groove builds up towards a propelling synthetic percussion onslaught with unique sound design to boot.

The title track increases the intensity with skewed acidic pronouncements leading into a lolloping 168bpm beat, embellished with Pace’s characteristic vocal sample disfigurations.

Finally the EP settles on its most frenetic excursion, False Claims. Hiking the BPM up to 148, high velocity drums which nod to UK Funky guide the listener towards ecstatic fervor that is hinted at throughout the proceeding tracks.

Club Night Club is proud to announce its first release via Manchester based Herron, who delivers four diverse excursions aimed squarely at the dancefloor. 

On the A1, Dead Frogs Down, ethereal vocals are submerged and held captive by the molten, stumbling textures which give them form, they rise out of the chaos every now and then, breathing life into a soundscape of club ready punches and kicks. The result is a punishing five minutes of peak time breaks with a delicate undertone floating in between. 

Velcro Spider, true to its name, weaves a similar blend of the synthetic and heartfelt. A stumbling, low slung groove mutates over the course of the track, quietly building and sustaining a tension the listener is unaware of until all hell breaks loose in true drug chug fashion at the halfway point. 

The B side similarly advances this fusion of midtempo tension.  

Noroveerno is a head bobber, the double time kicks coming like a heartbeat. There is a sense of purpose to the unrestrained impacts that pump and push the sound design heavy, Sludge-Techno forwards. A simple, distorted vocal sample: “Do I Want?” is peppered amongst the chaos, presenting as a rhythmic element which contributes to the track’s flow rather than diverging from it. The inflection gives the impression that this is a question to which the artist already knows his answer. 

Closing things out on the B side is IWillTry2d0, a dystopian piece that has a tensible core of thick and hearty synth pulses. Evocative of the Toulouse Low Trax breed of intentional, ambiguous chug, but in keeping with the rest of the record smothered in impact and delay. Like the others, it has a percussive outer shell which protects something emotional and questioning at its root.
