The name originally came from a project in which i wanted to make a new "fast" song, like "Idea", but trying to up the speed a little. Tho it is instrumental and maybe a little bit boring over time, I like how the project developed to this point, and am quite pleased with what the track has become.

New And Fast

With this EP I had decided to name every song, the EP name itself, and this genre name which I made up myself (found it fitting at the time)by the original name of the project in which I saved it, so everything has kind of a weird name. This one I originally created after Unknown, and was supposed to follow after that song on the EP, but was so much more refreshing that I decided to put it as the first one on the EP. I have an acoustic, shorter version of this song, and am considering to put that up as well. Fun fact: the bass in this one and in "Unknown" are actually my guitar through a Whammy Pedal V on octave down. To me the song is very relaxing and soothing, no matter if I am angry or happy, this song helps me relax and forget time.

Unknown Follow Up

I remember playing with the main riff for a while, when I finally decided to record it, while staring out my room window, looking at the clock tower in the distance, and just played the solo in one take. I am very pleased with the song, although it has something of a dark theme to it, but making it a perfect fit for the last song on my first EP. After listening to it, and hearing the reverb fade away to silence, to this day there is something of a fulfilling and at the same time incredibly empty feeling that I get. This one was recorded before "Unknown Follow Up", but almost instantly told a story that just had to be at the end of something. After deciding to put "Unknown Follow Up" at the beginning and "Unknown" at the end, based on the title you would have to listen to "Unknown Follow Up", almost seducing you into listening to the entire EP again, but it was never intended to be that way.

Unknown

The only song with lyrics on this EP, written halfway and fully sang by respected artist Zino van Leerdam, while some parts of the lyrics we wrote together. This was actually the first song written that would end up on "EPOne". I tried to keep this one very melodic, so the dark lyrics theme would be a bit compensated. Fun fact: on the keyboard solo, I actually just smashed my midi keyboard, picked out notes that did not fit in the scale and dragged them onto the midi-grid.
