Since you seem to be interested in more information: the weird noise you hear in this track is actually a ventilator, which makes this sound while starting - you can hear it turn fully on when the piano plays. I'm just having fun with exploring sounds in general, and strive to continue doing so during this venture! Hey, so this is the remix i did for a beatport remix contest. I challenged myself to start and finish this remix in a day and after 11 hours of work (which is pretty fast for me) I'm done and quite happy with the result! Alright it's about damn time to release some new music now. 

I am glad to have the opportunity to study sound and music production in Darmstadt as of October this year, so music will definitely be a big part of my life in the future. Learning from professionals will be kind of a dream come true for me. I don't know exactly where I want to go in this world of sound, but I will enjoy the journey and stay open for anything new that crosses my path. This is also the reason why the music I make tends to not fit into a particular genre, I love to experiment - and create what I feel like creating at this moment.

I found this guy named "Wim Hof" who is able to do some amazing things with his mind and body, which inspired me to create this track, so please enjoy! Don't hesitate to leave feedback if you have anything in mind, and to repost if you like it!

Within just a day or two days you will be able to go deeper into your system and learn to control. I mean it's just learning to go back into the inner power which we all have. I am a man on a mission! So I think I never was satisfied with what was going on in the world. It is time to prove that we all are able to become happy, strong and healthy. All of us.

Wim has figured out ways, mainly through breath work and exposure to cold to take conscious control over aspects of his physiology, that for most people, they simply can't tune into and control.

There is a method to this; what I'm doing is breathing in more oxygen than I need, and then breathing out without fully letting go. Doing this five times and then on the final breath - squeezing the oxygen into your chest, neck and head - and that creates either real or illusionary heat. And then you let go. And that's how we get to the top of the mountain.

You now... people think I'm crazy. Maybe I am crazy. But not because of my breathing techniques. Not because of my cold water swimming. Not because of my - being fearless in extreme challenges. 
Breathe! It's for free! It's life! Breathe! It's for free! Its good!

I created a method. The components are: breathing, mindset and cold exposure. Gradual, non-forced cold exposure. And that's to optimize the mind-body connection.

I wanna take away fears, you know, irrational fears, traumatic fears, fears because you do not handle mental issues. Somebody's got to do this, and I should have no fear to accomplish that. A man on a mission should not think in fear, he should go and accomplish his mission!

It's by breathing! If we just breathe more deeply, it changes the chemistry inside. Not shallow breathing - deep breathing. Slowly but surely. This is what you do consciously. And you do this 30 times, the chemistry in the body, in the tissue, is changing. The body is becoming oxygenized, alcalide, and then suddenly the brain-body connection is possible by pressurizing. You create the right chemistry and thus, your perception, your consciousness is gonna be: you smell more, you see the colors brighter, you experience deeper. And that's the brain connection once again with all the cells - makes you a beautiful living being.

Tough Calls is about being thankful for your past, while saying hello to change and transformation. The sounds of cactus spikes was our inspiration and a symbol within the process - where getting past the spines of relationships takes time and personal bravery. Electronic and rhythmic elements, together with acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies create a journey of freeing yourself from insecurity, instability and toxic relationships for the better.
