Nothing wrong with playing video games into your 30s...just with moderation.

Video games are not really a sign of immaturity, but I do agree that there is a decline in people wanting to be mature, responsible adults. I was born in 1986 which puts me in to the early Millennials, but often find myself at odds with the description of my generation. I was not always raised with electronics. I do remember an analog world and playing outside. I was also raised to "grow up" and "act like an adult" from when I was about 7 or 8. Because of this I have effectively been, in current vernacular, adulting since I was about 11 or 12, doing laundry, dishes, cleaning, vacuuming, yardwork, getting myself to and from school. I have been doing this for so long I am used to it, but now get to enjoy the perks of being an adult rather just having all the responsibilities.

In speaking to those who are ~10 years younger, I have found that many have not been used to having this adult mentality and thus yearn for a "simpler life", alluding to back when they were kids who did not have to worry about being a responsible adult.
