Best listened to with headphones, this is one of the first binaural recordings I made, during a night of severe weather in Melbourne. It captured the sound of a tree falling (of the many trees that fell in our lane that night)

Dedicated to Michael Abel, a.k.a. VGAForest, who was an honored member of the monome community and passed away from complications due to leukemia. 
all tracks here were made by way of remixing his music. there were no hardened rules to the project, each artist chose to include many samples from his music and all were at liberty to include other sounds, if they chose. the main idea was to pay tribute to his music, which you can hear here:

The changes I've made are partly to see how it would sound on suggestions from my learned fellow challenge colleagues and some changes are simply a whimsical choice by myself.
