Ørphisrā 001 | Shelley

German based artist ‘Shelley’, joins us as the first guest of the Ørphisrā Podcast series. With a varying sound across genres of electronic music, Shelley has landed gig’s at venues such as ‘Tresor Berlin’ and featured on mix series from ‘Indefinite Pitch’ and ‘Crescent London’.    

Finding her musical connection through nature, Shelley showcases elemental sounds amongst flora and fauna throughout her set. 
Deep atmospheric breaks, tribal influenced downtempo rhythms and glitchy percussions shape the flow and progression of this mix, a captivating journey through intricate sound.

Kindreds electronic mind was born in the heavy bassline thunderstorms with which the English Dubstep movement shook the underground in the 2000er years. Moving to Berlin in 2012, the local Techno vibe influenced him with its irresistible flow decisively. Still, he never lost his favor for heavy, moving bassline, dark atmospheres and the love for a surprising psychedelic twist. Founding his own collective with friends, making own parties and music, moving the underground, the Berlin electronic scene became his home. In countless gigs from all over Berlin, to all parts of Germany, from Holland down to the marvellous island of Sardinia this guy hypnotised ravers of all kinds, sucking them into the inescapable vortex of energetic Techno and introducing them to a new, unknown dimension. In the end of 2020 his own Hypnotic Techno label "Charybdis" came to life, which he is curating together with his good friend and musical partner Vittjas Tief.

(Salvo Pizzuto) is a DJ producer born in the Italian peninsula, who has always had a passion for deeper electronic music, clubbing and listening to his favorite DJs over time have shaped his tastes to the point that it is. currently. Salvo started DJing around 2017 at various underground parties in his hometown and is one of the very few DJs in Sicily to promote deep / experimental techno. His inspirations come from the wonderful nature that surrounds him and from mysticism. Its sound is based on dark and ambient repercussions and modulations.

Salvo is constantly growing, always looking for new hypnotic and atmospheric sounds that can lead the listener on a mental journey by recreating soundscapes.

She has always dedicated her life to music and started promoting doom metal and punk shows in Leipzig in her early twenties. In 2015 she began her journey as a DJ and since then has been a regular at parties like STAUB at ://about blank in Berlin, announced her residency at Distillery in Leipzig in early 2018 and has also travelled across the Atlantic to bring her sound across borders. Her vinyl-only sets, whether ambient or dark driven techno, are characterized by an ethereal lucidity and an unquestionable passion for music.

Nadine delivered one of her tightly woven hypnoid sound carpets, which invites you to lean in and drift away. Once you've let go, you'll be catapulted to the other side in no time!
