Om Unit steps up with yet another self-released adventure into uptempo sonics. This time slowing the pace slightly, exploring the 150+ realm, taking in influences from Broken Beat, Garage, Electro, Dub Techno and other signature ingredients.

This 6 track EP is the next chapter in a lengthy career-spanning narrative of exploring cross-pollinated grooves and picks up from the much celebrated 'Submerged' and 'Violet' EP's, both of a similar ilk and quite sought after by vinyl collectors to date.

Saku Sahara is a a French electronic DJ, her energy is inspired by the UK rave culture that she likes to transmit in club via percussive and diversified sounds : Jungle, Happy Hardcore, Footwork, UK Bass, Juke are the musical styles of choice that reflect her personality.
In 2022, she released her first jungle track «Drums Unity» on QSS Vol.3 tape with other french artists. She is currently working on new Happy Hardcore tracks which will be released in the next few months ! Saku is also co-founder of the Unit Soeurs collective which aims to highlight the women of the Lyon music scene.

After 20 years of being in power, the Autocrat changed the Constitution to keep ruling until 2036. People were already so apolitical that they had nothing to object to; they only wanted nothing to change so they said "Okay". But things did change according to the laws of life, about which people knew nothing. The Autocrat has started an aggressive war against their neighbour, convincing the population that everyone around is an enemy. He deprived the people of rights, he filled all prisons with political prisoners and released murderers, then he built new prisons for those who still had hearts and minds of their own. For those who remained outside, he set up video surveillance, and the slightest step out of line led to threats of imprisonment. People began to fear and hate their own children and everyone they could see. They took pleasure in killing and torturing one another. By 2036 the land was drenched in blood and destroyed by toxic waste, and those who were still alive felt "Okay" because they still had the right to die silently.

The new Samurai Music series of 12"s - Samurai Hannya - are based on the mythical masks of a Noh drama (a form of traditional Japanese theatre). Hannya masks capture the stages of transformation of a female character as she undergoes a metamorphosis into a demon / ogre.

Fly By Night are excited to announce FBN005, an 8-track V/A with all profits going to Centrepoint, a charity which supports over 14,000 homeless young people every year providing housing and mental & physical health support. Locked Up contains 8 exciting producers ranging from breakbeat, electro & bass, all contributing their interpretation of a year being spent locked inside. From artists ranging from Birmingham to Brighton, Angers to Copenhagen, the V/A is yet another strong release from Fly By Night to round off what has been a long 2020 in which the label have been picking up the pace.
