Before I Did Myself A Mischief (mix)

Jazz-O-Tech's new radio programme on Radio Raheem is called This is Techno Jazz and is a unique opportunity to get to know a new musical genre that combines techno and jazz. The programme is presented by Mattia Prete, label manager of the Berlin and Milan-based record label, and aims to introduce the public to this innovative music scene that is gaining ground in Europe and around the world.
> The programme will be broadcast every last Friday of the month, from eleven o'clock to midnight, and Mattia Prete will present the best tracks in the techno-jazz genre, with artists and producers from the international scene. The first star of the show will be the Swiss drummer Arthur Hnatek, followed by Wroclaw Zimpel and Raffaele Attanasio, three big names on the international music scene.

Este proyecto surge de la idea de fusionar dos estilos musicales aparentemente opuestos, el clásico y el experimental. 
El cuarteto de cuerdas es un formato musical que se ha mantenido prácticamente intacto durante siglos, mientras que la música electrónica es un género que surge en la segunda mitad del siglo XX. 
En este sentido, el proyecto busca integrar estos dos mundos para crear una propuesta musical diferente y innovadora. 


En este proyecto, el cuarteto de cuerdas se convierte en la base de la estructura musical, proporcionando una rica y variada paleta de sonidos que se combinan con elementos electrónicos y efectos sonoros. En este proceso, se han utilizado diferentes técnicas de composición y producción, como la manipulación de sonidos en tiempo real, y la utilización de loops y samples.

En cuanto al repertorio, ＩＭＧＬ ha trabajado en la creación de un conjunto de obras originales, creadas especialmente para este proyecto. 

El concepto artistico se basa en los tres elementos indispensables para cualquier ser vivo: Ａｇｕa - Ａｉｒｅ - Ｔｉｅｒｒａ.


El Ａｇｕａ se representa en este espectáculo mediante la creación de un ambiente musical etéreo que evoca la sensación de flotar en un océano tranquilo. Los sonidos de la música electrónica se mezclan con los sonidos de los instrumentos de cuerda para crear una sensación de serenidad y calma. La música se desliza y fluye como las corrientes marinas, tanto la luz y las proyecciones se utilizan para crear una atmósfera de brillo y reflejos, como si estuviéramos en el fondo del mar.

El Ａｉｒｅ se convierte en el segundo elemento en este espectáculo. La música electrónica se acelera y toma fuerza, y el cuarteto de cuerdas se une para crear un sonido vigoroso y potente que evoca la sensación de un viento fuerte y desatado. 

Por último, la Ｔｉｅｒｒａ se representa mediante el uso de sonidos y ritmos más enérgicos pero equilibrados. La electrónica se fusiona con los sonidos de las cuerdas para crear una atmósfera de armonía y balance , como si estuviéramos en medio de un bosque tranquilo o en medio de un desierto inhóspito. 

A través de la música y los efectos visuales, los espectadores son transportados a un mundo de descubrimiento y maravilla que les muestra la belleza y la importancia de los elementos vitales en la vida de todos los seres vivos.

Las proyecciones son cargo de Gaspar Yamil Jalle (Tele_Visiones) y desempeñan un papel clave en la experiencia global del espectáculo, ya que complementan la música y ayudan a transmitir el mensaje central del espectáculo de una manera más impactante y significativa, donde 
mediante la repetición de pasajes visuales y la manipulación en tiempo real con herramientas que aparentemente ya no tienen utilidad, explora los aspectos simbólicos y abstractos de los elementos. 
Las imágenes se descomponen, se fusionan y se transforman, creando una experiencia visual en constante evolución.
Resonances busca trascender la representación literal de los elementos y adentrarse en la esencia subyacente que conecta a la humanidad con la naturaleza. 
Es un llamado a explorar lo trascendental en lo cotidiano, a encontrar significado en lo aparentemente efímero y a revaluar nuestra relación con el mundo natural.

El material visual utilizado en este proyecto ha sido minuciosamente seleccionado tras una exhaustiva pesquisa de antiguo material en cinta VHS. Encontrando la belleza en la imperfección y en la estética retro de este formato, logra dar una nueva vida a lo que ya parecía obsoleto.
Cada imagen en pantalla  transmite una sensación de nostalgia y al mismo tiempo resalta la atemporalidad de los elementos naturales.
A través de la fusión del pasado y el presente, de lo obsoleto y moderno, el proyecto busca despertar una conexión profunda con la naturaleza y fomentar una mayor conciencia sobre lo que entendemos como tecnología en desuso.

Hello followers! For this week we share a breath of fresh air with a beautiful mix put together by Emanuele Pertoldi aka. Shaded Explorer

Emanuele Pertoldi (@emanuelepertoldi) was born in a small village in the North East of Italy. Since he was a child he had a strong passion for music and it became stronger and stronger. He took a degree in Modern Music - Music Production in Bologna. 

 Sound research, creativity and passion are the keys of his tracks.  He founded Evasion Room Records with Riccardo D'Agostini in 2011 and Evasion Room Live with Riccardo, Daniele and Andrea, a live based on improvisations only with hardware machines and synths. He is doing other projects with these guys. With Andrea as Tripsolate & Redundænt and with Riccardo as Synkät.

In 2013 he started a new alias, S/EXP (Shaded Explorer), with the aim to represent himself in a more intimate way.  The description of the project says: "S/EXP lives in a place where the music is hidden behind a dense fog and dreams are suffocated by an unpromising reality. This stimulates him to continue his research of magical places around the world, being them ethereal landscapes, deep cenotes or blue seas. In those places he discovered and created new sounds, melodies and rhythms that melted together create soundscapes for escape." The first release is an album on Eclipsemusic that was also played live by him (just with hardware) at Club To Club in Turin, one of the most representative festivals in Italy. Following this concept in 2014 he founded his own intimate imprint Shaded Explorations.

2013 was important also for another new project, Mørk, with his Berlin based friend Devincenti Francesco. The project is focused on hardware only live acts too, but with a more experimental edge than the other projects. Field recordings, modular synths and textures are the keys of this new duo.

Andrea Cossu is a DJ and electronic music producer, who studies electroacoustic music at the Conservatory in Cagliari and works at AMAM Studio there as a sound engineer.

His music and DJ sets are characterized by ambient and deep techno sounds. Recently he has released his debut album “Spira” on The Gods Planet label.

O-Ma is a live artist and track maker from Japan, with no conventional musical background. He covers a wide range of genres from deep techno, ambient to experimental, jungle and idm, with a heavy emphasis on sonics and sound quality.
He is a member of Monument. Also involved in independent labels such as Otium (fr) and Katharsis Recordings (jp).
He performs regularly in Japan and overseas, taking his modular rack with him whenever he goes.

His progressive sessions, profound and with long mixes, are real voyages that sail through experimental music, ambient and horizontal and dubby techno.

His productions are 4x4 experiments of low tempo with field recordings and marked spaces, where he explores timbres, textures and cinematographic structures. He is resident at the Alpenglühen and Taiga sessions and owner of the label Antimatter together with Bule.

He is also the owner of Alpenglühen (the label) focused in deep and ambient techno which explores the thin line between light and darkness.

Spend an hour in the company of Canadian techno royalty as Orphx mix our latest podcast.

The line which separates techno with noise and industrial music seems to have become increasingly blurred over the past few years; although the casual observer may see this as a recent development, in reality these sounds have been combining for a lot longer. One such outfit are Canadian duo and former Juno Plus interviewees Orphx, who have been exploring the meeting point between industrial music and techno in their music for the past 20 years, producing numerous albums alongside a number of vinyl, CD and cassette releases. With sonic force and rhythmic distortion as their guiding light, Richard Oddie and Christie Sealey have manoeuvred Orphx’s sound from the arena of experimental noise and industrial electronic music into a realm of techno shared by the likes of Adam X, Perc Trax and Svreca’s Semantica.

In 2009 Orphx made their label debut on Adam X’s Sonic Groove imprint with the Division EP, a release which exposed the duo to a new audience thanks to remixes from Surgeon and dub techno anchor Substance; until that point, the only remixes of Orphx came from either themselves, Jim DeJong’s The Infant Cycle project and a selection of remakes that appeared on Teletai - Rarities And Remixes in 2008.

Orphx are now a permanent fixture of Sonic Groove’s industrial-heavy roster; in addition to the four records they've already released for the label, the duo will be releasing the Boundary Conditions 12"  next week. Since their first appearance on the label in 2009 Orphx have focused on melding elements of dancefloor sound design together with a challenging tonality, and have subsequently plunged themselves further into a sphere of techno they helped to influence by remixing acts such as Svreca, Giorgio Gigli & Obtane and Adam X’s Traversable Wormhole project.

Richard and Christine's mix for Juno Plus feels like an extension of their own sound, with an hour's worth of cold, dark, tunnelling techno from artists whose music has been an inspiration on their forthcoming release. We spoke with Oddie over email about their upcoming European tour, cassette tape labels and how to approach remixes.

This project has developed different facets, including a career as an interpreter and audio producer when experimenting with a wide variety of musical sequences. It seeks the integration of oscillating interpersonal ideas among the variety of solid conceptions. This project also defines the transformation of the artist that has developed under different aliases for many years. 
Each interpretation is made to create an atmosphere based on sound art, generative art and Techno in its different variations.
