The label begins the new year with its fifth outing since its inception, welcoming Chinese techno producer and DJ Ma Haiping to the family with an EP which includes a remix by Los Angeles producer Secus.
Through his Artificial Ecstatic EP, Ma Haiping delivers three original tracks that dig deep into the hypnotic and cerebral world of techno. While all are dance-floor ready, they also make excellent tools for any DJ’s arsenal. Today we premiere this razor sharp remix from Secus.

Up next on Renegade Methodz is label head Endlec. Following last year's ʻʻCycle Of Doomʼʼ EP, the Greek producer returns to the label for his first release of 2024. 

Dry loopy techno, composed with classic techniques, yet designed for the modern dancefloor...the ʻFutur Akustikʼ release finds Endlec returning to a sound that has defined him earlier in his career and showcases the producerʼs knack for memorable sonic designs and admirable studio prowess. 

Minimal in its components and pristine in the sound processing, the listener is presented with a cohesive collection of classic techno tracks that blend a mix of raw, percussive, driving elements and powerful kick drums with ever-dominant synth lines, providing a sense of intensity and raw emotion to all cuts, while straightforward techno rhythms keep the record dancefloor-regulated. 

ʻMax Hitʼ opens the release and wastes no time by creating an intimidating introduction. A bold, toned percussion makes for an infectious groove, instrumental in the most efficient way possible. Dry and tight in the drum department for maximum effect, bursting with metallic sounds creating overwhelming tension full of grit and texture. The restrained production foreshadows a minimal but rhythmically effective track, keeping things straight to the point before introducing the defining mid-section synth riff, affirming the sheer size of the track. 

ʻFaux Wave 3ʼ introduces an expanded palette of textures on display with its tight saturated groove commanding to be heard in this production as razor sharp lead lines, blended with cavernous spaces and rolling percussive patterns. 

On the back side, ʻSystematicaʼ hits a little deeper with an infectious, pulsating bassline that effortlessly pushes all other elements forward, with a simplistic yet distinct synth motif that dips in and out, creating an ominous feeling of mystery that surrounds the track. With a few fundamental elements, Endlec manages to have things constantly twisting and changing, introducing a boundless dimension to a track made with impeccable precision. 

Closing the release, ʻSignalionʼ brings an even darker tone and maintains a similar hypnotic energy with its loopy groove. A perfect blend of distorted drums, rolling percussion and captivating metallic FM tones throughout, delivering a neat finish to the EP. 

Refined yet effective ʻʻFutur Akustikʻʼ honors the true spirit of techno and gives a taste of things that are yet to come.

Marking one year following Phase Fatale’s (aka Hayden Payne’s) last EP on his label BITE, ‘Love Is Destructive’ is a clear shift into true techno territories, integrated with his distinct curation of narrative and sonic framework, imprinted with a musical diet of sleek, synthesised storytelling. The 4-Track EP reflects the turbulent ebb-and-flow found with emotional conclusion - a genesis soundtracked by raw energy and driving undercurrents. The Berlin-based DJ, Producer and Label-owner’s propensity for creating a symbiotic harmony by blending seemingly divisive elements from his genre defying repertoire, demonstrates his masterful understanding and control of the listener’s borderless, auditory journey. Exemplified by his marathon closing sets at Berghain, as well as techno arenas such as Khidi in Tbilisi (both of which he is a resident), Phase Fatale’s recent DJ performances and production endeavours reflect his fresh approach to pure techno sensibilities.

The title track sets the tone with imperative grooves, energetic vigour and intrepid attitude. Following a progression of techno propulsion in ‘Magma Driver’, infused metallic textures and trippy, headier elements add depth, whilst the body of work’s cutting edge sound design echoes spacey vivacity and purification in equal measures. Dichotomy comes forward with tracks ‘Ambivalence’ and ‘Introjection’, processed vocal samples with dub techno leanings and hints towards broken rhythms are sculpted by Payne’s focused approach, resonating a feeling of hopeful resolution akin to resurgence. These romantic sensibilities offset by cold mechanical nuances are reflected in the EP’s artwork, depicting roses against the backdrop of engine-like machinery.

To celebrate the 10th release of the digital EP series, Blush Recordings is delighted to introduce IVISION aboard. The Italian DJ and producer, supported by heavyweights like DVS1, Richie Hawtin and Dave Clarke on previous releases, debuts on the label with his latest work 'Quantum Future’. The opener, "13 PM," showcases IVISION’s signature style: an essential yet captivating groove that maintains high energy levels throughout.

Title track 'Quantum Future' introduces a disruptive element through its fractured rhythm and entrancing vocals, lending the track a highly dynamic feeling. Following that, ”Arrow" revisits the artist’s classic style, presenting a highly effective dance floor-oriented techno tool. Completing the EP, we have remixes by Skaliger, Osvil D, and Aderal, each infusing their distinct styles and interpretations into the tracks.

Osvil D's remix of "13 PM" serves up a robust techno track that packs a punch and commands attention. Aderal introduces a fresh perspective to the track, bringing back a classic 4-to-the-floor rhythm with a gritty twist. As the final track, Skaliger takes command of "Arrow," shaping it into a dreamy and ethereal soundscape.
