Aimed at showcasing exciting and emerging artists "Exhibit" aims to channel techno's fundamental frequencies as Slam seek out the rawer end of the spectrum with selected artists that focus on the deeper and hypnotic sound of techno.

Packing in 8 tracks across this first release, Slam open with title track ‘Exhibit 1’ a deep, sub heavy and electrifying roller. Newcomers Mist Gasp are up next with the suitably trippy Final Return followed by the pairing of Confluence & Von Tee Rah who pack in a lot of attitude with Unit 1. Brazilian producer Marcal steps up with the groove laden Tombstone, quickly followed by Berlin’s Denise Rabe who treads a darker path with the driving, Walking On Borders. Another Berlin based pairing, Angioma & BLANKA, serve up the crafty Tricky Sunday before James Bong drops the fast paced yet minimalistic and melodic Roses 101. Lyon-based artist Tauceti has emerged as an intriguing talent in recent years. As a producer, Tauceti leans into the more obscure areas of lustrous techno and hazy ambient. On her four-tracker “47038”, she fuses these aesthetics to produce a collection that bridges the dancefloor and introspective listening.

“Minya Konka” opens the EP with gnarly drums and a luminous synthline, oscillating between dense and airy soundscapes. “Minghun” melds droney textures with wintry pads, stirring up a macabre atmosphere. On a driving note, “Plum Blossom” uncoils with rolling kickdrums and aqueous stabs, forming a lithe and limber 4/4 number. The closing tune, “Queqiao”, is a beatless slow burner set against a soupy backdrop, pierced with light-sabre-like FX. It summarises Tauceti’s polished sound design, which bleeds throughout “47038”, and showcases her explorations into dusky, cinematic techno and noise-led sounds.

Augusto Taito is undoubtedly one of the artists we always release with great pleasure, also because it is one of our best discoveries. Born in Buenos Aires and actually based in Amsterdam, with a large number of releases behind him since the beginning of 2017, on labels of the caliber of Dynamic Reflection, Mindtrip, Edit Select, Suara, Children of Tomorrow, Illegal Alien, Emerald, ANAOH, Methodical, KSR just to name a few, already at the beginning of 2020 made his debut on [R]3volution Records with 'Mutual Premonition EP', in 2021 he participated with his remix of 'Ancestral' in Vol.2 of 'Michele Mausi R3mixes EP' and in 2022 it is part of the vinyl VA [R]3volution Heroes Vol.2 with the track 'Interdimensional Deja Vu', which in this new EP is re-proposed in 5 super remixes curated by one of our top artists Dave Wincent, who certainly doesn't need of presentations, 3 pure emerging talents from the [R]3volution Uncod3d Roster who debut on [R]3volution Records such as Dani Durán, Playmo, Toobris and the label owner Michele Mausi. In April the EP released a new track, the title track 'Brakjam Key. Another release that will certainly leave its mark on dance floors across the planet for the next few months...
