This is a story of a totally real worm dude named Vasiliy. Learn from his tale.

The song itself has a funny creation story. At my Birthday Zoom party (2020 special), an old friend of mine insisted that I sing my "Little Worm Vasiliy" song, which I never even heard of, let alone have written. So I made it up on the spot. Then, realizing it was actually good, rushed to write down whatever I remembered, polished off, and... here we go. Three cheers for Vasiliy. 

I'm not even sure how to describe the style. Pop punk? A bit of an Offspring or Green Day inspiration. It just sounds fun.

In a one-bedroom flat, somewhere in Philly,
Lived a nice little worm by the name Vasiliy.
His apartment was nice: not too hot, not too chilly.
On a cobblestone street, somewhat flat, somewhat hilly.

Little worm Vasiliy’s life was pretty good.
Worked hard when he should; partied hard when he could.
Hanging out with him put us all in a good mood.
The most popular crawler in the neighborhood.

Didn’t wear masks; didn’t wash hands.
And infected Vasiliy with their COVID breath.

Long story short, he was sick for a while.
Vasiliy hurt from the virus but didn’t die.
Went inside a cocoon that was lilly-white
And emerged as a gold-winged butterfly.

Now Vasiliy is flying, and fast at that.
Goes 0 to 6 in 5 seconds flat.
Flying higher and higher, look at him jet.
And becoming the breakfast of a Wuhan bat.
