These past couple of months have been non-stop day in and day out. We've been traveling and spreading the sound of tomorrow. Here we are with some down time and really excited to present you our 7th White Label by a group of 4 talented guys from Genk, Belgium. They caught our attention after they dropped XXXX. When we heard it, we thought it was Carmack, but then we looked and realized it was these talented guys! They have a very versatile sound that will only make you feel it in your chest. Just in time for Valentine's day, Bastard Jazz is proud to present a lovesick 7" debut from Vancouver/Montreal duo Potatohead People (aka producers Nick Wisdom & AstroLogical). The duo has been making waves for quite some time now through their slew of releases with netlabel Jellyfish Recordings before getting picked up by the Brooklyn based label.

On the "A" side of the 7", "Back To My Shit" is a lovelorn tale of breakup and redemption featuring the rhymes of Detroit's Frank Nitt (Frank'n'Dank, J. Dilla) with very catchy yet deep synth-heavy production from the Potatohead People. On the flip sidem, we continue the theme with "Love Hz", an instrumental cut with crispy drums, ghostly vocal stabs, a catchy bubbling bassline and pulsing keyboards.

A lovely piece of wax dedicated to the unrequited love in our lives.
