Jathedar Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal was the Founder of Bhindranwale Tiger Force and was, for a short time, acting Jathedar of Akal Takhat. He had joined the army but when the commanding officer insulted Sikhi and made fun of Baba Ji for doing his Nitnem, Baba Ji broke his nose, arm, and jaw. Gurbachan Singh Manochahal was said to be nearly unkillable, and once escaped from a completely empty, evacuated village while the whole village was under siege.
