Cloudive returns to Silk Textures with a triumphant follow-up to his previous "Feelin Lovin' / Try It Again" EP. Better known as Trance & Progressive talent Aleksey Yakovlev, Cloudive has successfully re-invented himself as a veritable threat in the exploding niche of deep house. 

His latest effort, "I Wanna Know", is another smooth and groovy after-hours gem, centered on a titular vocal hook. A classic deep house bassline helps to guide the listener along, as well as a variety of atmospheric pads. The one and only remix in the package comes from fellow veteran Zan Preveé, whose last remix for our imprint received radio support from Above & Beyond. A chunky groove gives his rendering plenty of dancefloor appeal, while a variety of light arps and vocal stabs fill out the mid-range.

Remixes come from Enhanced stalwarts MoodFreak, Arty and newcomer Matt Holliday, ahead of his 'Your Touch' release later this year. MoodFreak chops the vocal and layers it over his irresistible groove, whilst Arty creates a huge, big room lead and Matt Holliday shows us his quality with a well layered melodic rendition.

Carlos Almedia aka Miikka Leinonen brings his groovy progressive sounds to Alter Ego, and what a way to do it. Devilish synth stabs dominate the atmosphere while a plucky lead whisks you along in the mix, not forgetting the chunky groove of course! Russian producer Arty works his progressive magic on Fat Yet Horny and whips up a smooth yet powerful rendition. A crisp and amazingly well produced remix that works perfect through the warm up sets! To complete this single Mark Sonus provides a final remix with a unique take on the track. Crafting some extra melodies has really brought his mix to life. The purest, most touching trance tracks are all based upon emotions. Real emotions, whether that be happiness, grief or true euphoria. Producers find their inspiration in all sorts of happenings and turn it into another anthem to trigger those memorable moments on the floor.

Unfortunately, it was a sad event that inspired Robert Nickson to produce the follow-up to his ‘Maybe Next Time’, ‘Circles’ and classic ‘Spiral’. Dedicated to the late Fokko Versloot, a colleague at Cloud 9 Music who died at the young age of only 26, and released almost exactly a year after his death, Robert Nickson now moves the trance loving souls with ‘We Won’t Forget’.

‘We Won’t Forget’ is an emotional ride of a track, with a grand build-up, a deep-seated melody and a scintillating, distortive saw, with a bitter, raw edge to it all. He lets the bass hit in hard, making ‘We Won’t Forget’ an excellent highlight in whatever epic night.

The most requested remixer of the moment, Russian producer Artem Stolyarov – working under the Arty moniker, provides this release a more prog-trancy approach to ‘We Won’t Forget’. At the speed of sound, his popularity rose, with his remixes for Reverse and D-Mad rocking the Beatport Trance charts weeks in a row, and remixes for Ferry Tayle and Tritonal scorching the clubs alike. Luckily, Arty found the time to also deliver this one, cause it’s about to take you in on its warm wave of big room sounds.

Arty memories: “The fact that Anjunabeats guys picked up my tracks really surprised me. At that time I was looking for the best label to sign “Rush” for like three or four months, and I thought that I had just made that track for myself. But then I sent it to Anjunabeats after a bunch of other labels that didn’t respond to my submissions. Then, Anjunabeats picked the track and they came to me and asked to make another mix. It was a huge success, and so we just started to work together. After “The Wonder” and “Zara,” we released even more tracks together. Tony, Paavo, and Jono are really good guys and they really know what’s going on on the scene.”
