   Howdy friends and hopefully everybody is looking forwards to a very Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends this year! We need a little cheering up! This is a song I wrote in 2021 during the pandemic and it's partially about my favorite film of all time "The Wizard Of Oz" with Judy Garland. I've loved this film since I was a kid and now I own like 20 copies of it in all formats and watch it once a year religiously! The song is mostly about finding our inner child and returning to that time when everything seemed to be an adventure and there was magic in the air and music all around! It's like a dream song and as everyone knows there are good things and bad things in dreams, there are friends and there are witches sometimes, as in life, but the journey is always well-worth it for me! 
      This was also one of the first music-videos I ever made with the help of my wonderful wife and it was really too choppy and the clips I used were really blurry and I used way too many gif's and the sound was muddy. At the time we thought it was great but when I rewatched it, I knew I needed to redo it! So earlier this year I decided to do a remix of the song and the video. I added several more clips but couldn't really find any nice clear ones from "The Wizard Of Oz" because it's copyrighted I guess, so I had to use fuzzy ones but you guys get the picture!

     The song is one of my best with some of my best lyrics, I think. It's all about Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland) and her finding her inner child and wanting to go on a journey over the rainbow but when she gets there all she wants to do is go back home! Isn't that what we all want to do? We want to go back home but sadly we cannot. 
     I worked very hard on the song and Charlie really sang it well! My wife helped out on the backing vocals too. I hope the Remix turned out a little better than before. The video was a headache to put together because of all the "Wizard Of Oz" clips I inserted but I hope I did a decent job of it, it looks much better now than the origianl video I had done!
     So Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and let's all remember what it was like being a child, all the wonder and excitement that life seemed to offer us back then, for me it was a magical time and watching "The Wizard Of Oz" every Thanksgiving was part of that magic! I'll always remember the classic lines in the film like "Your heart is not judged by how much you love but by how much you are loved by other!" That's they key to life you know, oh and one more very important thing! "There's No Place like home"! (Ain't that the truth!) Happy Holidays!🙏😎✌🏼

Another song which was  inspired after reading this phrase in a magazine. Hoping after the last upload, my spell of writer's block was over, but took the easy way out and asked Suno for a little help.  I did a considerable amount of editing of the offered lyric but must admit  I am still finding it difficult to  tell a story  in a way which leads to a strong  song lyric.  I could call it a matter of not seeing the wood for the trees, I guess? I need to work on this!

But anyway, after several iterations, throwing many into the proverbial trash can, I ended up with this . Easier to work from a third person view (the female singer (?) and her feelings rather than a lengthy, detailed expose. Maybe this  could help me move forward for the next song.

I have been writing songs since1959 until the present. As a songwriter, I am more than happy with the wide range of songs I have written over the years. But my musical skills are quite limited and the early demos on Soundcloud are of me singing  and accompanying myself on guitar or latterly ukulele. I can strum the strings well enough, but there my skills end.

Recently I discovered Suno AI and the results astounded me. I could finally produce demos of my songs to be proud of. I am currently going thru my catalogue of songs and producing AI assisted demos. I know many musicians turn away from AI but it has a place for me. There is no other way I could have obtained some 300 demos to this level. I do not and do not intend to look for any reward except the satisfaction that hearing my own songs gives me.

I am still writing and hope to have many more years of songs left in me, Enjoy if you can and I would love to hear your comments on the tracks, if the music moves you at all.
