“Never Forget” is the true story of my day watching the terror attacks unfold on 9/11 less than four miles away from the World Trade Center.

I have suppressed many of these memories for two decades, but in honor of the upcoming 20 year anniversary, I wrote this song so we can always remember that day.

I recently got dumped by a woman I had been dating for a year. This song, “Staring at the Nightlight,” describes exactly how I felt the first few weeks after our breakup.

"Staring at the Nightlight" was recorded live in Austin, Texas, and the cover art is on location in The Netherlands by Johan van der Graaf.

I absolutely loved this cover shot of me playing on one of the largest dykes in The Netherlands, and I think "Staring at the Nightlight" is one of the finest songs I have ever written in 20 years of songwriting.

Staring at the Nightlight (live demo version)

I originally wrote this song about five tourists who were swept away from a beach in Aruba in November 2021, but now I am dedicating this song to the victims and families in Uvalde, Texas.￼

This song is about hope in miracles in the face of incomprehensible despair.

The Halloween Song (2022 Live Performance)

I have loved "Hunger Strike" and basically all of Temple of the Dog's oeuvre ever since I started writing music in the early 90s, and now I get to sing my rendition of this classic.  Both Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell were idols of mine growing up, and when I sing this song in one verse and chorus, I am channeling both of them in my vocals.  

Amazingly, when I was 13 years old I got front row tickets to Lollapalooza '92 in Dallas and got to see both Pearl Jam and Soundgarden up close and personal.
