Tried and tested by Sub Templa and DJ EZ himself over the summer, ‘Runnin’’ follows an exciting series of dispatches from the Southampton-based rising talent. Raised to the soundtrack of local UKG legend heroes like Craig David, Artful Dodger and, more recently, FOOR, Sub Templa has been keeping the UK south coast UKG tradition alive with a string of cuts on labels such as 24 Hour Garage Girls, Bad & Bassy, Garage Shared and GS Dubs. Now he antes up once again with this powerful slab of four-to-the-floor magic.

Soulful but bumping. Sweet but heavy. There’s no compromising here as ‘Runnin’ rolls out with clarity and serious groove craftsmanship. Loaded with plenty of little details – switches, cuts, classic house stabs and a wide range of musical elements and instruments – ST keeps things moving and busy but never loses sight of the vibe. Easy to say, very hard to do – and when it’s done right, it’s the essence of UKG.
