When I was writing the song, I wasn’t sure if I wanted in acoustic or with a heavy instrumental behind it but I chose the acoustic version because it showcased the songs vulnerability more. The song is basically about someone who’s a strong believer of love even if everyone around him isn’t and he’s aware that people are mocking him for his romantic notions but he doesn’t care because he believes that love is out there for him. Dealing with rejection and revenge would be the phrase that I would use to describe this song. A lot of the side effects from rejection are dealt mentally and the person affected usually feels abandoned and alone and we as humans tend to do and see crazy things when we’re alone. This song is heavily inspired by rock and pop songs in the 80s like Another One Bites The Dust by Queen. I wanted to try something different in terms of the song itself because I think that the writing styles for different genres are very different. It was difficult but I was proud of myself for actually finishing the lyrics and production of the song because it took a really long time to find inspiration. The storyline behind the song was meant to signify the age old story of the game of cat and mouse between two people and how we try to play games with each other just for fun.
