ÜBERKIKZ - Upclose 2025

Next up, fresh from their move to London, we have DJ Periodt delivering just over an hour of relentless groove and energy! 

It was by chance that we met up to record this live in London and we are super happy it worked out that way. Meeting up on a lowkey mid-week evening, but channelling that dance floor energy into a small studio room was that little taste of the weekend that we needed! Safe to say that Pirate definitely need to fix their air conditioning though (hot emoji). 

Originally from Florida with roots in the Bahamas, DJ Periodt’s passion for music started through dance. As a professionally trained ballet dancer, they bring a unique style and energy both to the dancefloor and behind the decks. Their sound really resonates with us and is shaped by their experiences around the world, with more recent influences including Amsterdam and Berlin. They would describe their sound as “Afro-futuristic hypnotic sexy groove” and this mix is a perfect demonstration of that.

of techno. Sound substrates, percussion overlays, hypnotic textures, make their
sets an unmissable musical trip, a sound-tunnel. They founded and managed the Wizard Club for 10 years in Rome, entirely dedicated to Jeff Mills.
