Since his late teens he has been performing professionally in a variety of world-class shows in venues all over the world. His vast vocal experience across many musical genres makes Cary a complete performer with verve and panache.

Originally from Texas, Cary now lives in Dublin, bringing his authentic American jazz influence to the Irish audience with his show Cary Posavitz and the Players. Cary and his Jazz musicians perform regularly on the Irish Jazz Circuit and can be regularly seen in The Shelbourne Hotel, Marco Pierre White’s and other prestigious venues countrywide.

Cary’s extensive repertoire not only facilitates every client’s Jazz and Swing request but provides great scope for an evening of highly enjoyable entertainment. His first album titled The One is a fantastic compilation of unique arrangements of Broadway hits and Jazz Standards and is merely the tip of the iceberg on Cary’s remarkable range and ability. 

Cary Posavitz is proud to have been the very first American vocalist to be cast in Riverdance and toured with the Irish phenomenon for over four years before starring in the title roles in the US hits Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Cruisin’ ’57 [Dick Clark Productions] and The Magnificent Gospel Showcase [Sky Television]. Cary has also performed with the sensational Celtic Woman [PBS Television Special and DVD release]. Other film credits include Michael Collins, Different Dreams, the BBC series The Aristocrats.
