Creating INTERSTELLAR on top of what we have already achieved as Apollo Stands was an experience that was made so much easier thanks to all the feedback and reviews from our previous release “MINDS”. We took everything that we were criticised for and did everything we could to make sure this E.P  was the best it could possibly be. Writing the keys for this album was by far the easiest to start with and by the end of writing all of our backing it was hard to see where the rest of us would fit in without sounding like a wall of noise so rather than trying to compliment the band with our backing tracks as we have done before, it was more us complimenting them.  

“VOID”

Void is our opening to the E.P and its epic journey through our solar system starting with the Sun and ending in Interstellar Space where we breathe a sigh of relief from the intensity that is our voyage to the unknown parts of space just before being pulled back down to reality. 

“INSOLARUS”

“SYNTHETIC”

Bringing things closer to home now with some more familiar and relatable situations, Synthetic is a song about repression, corruption and the desperation for a world that needs change if it hopes not to fall into a dystopia and the nightmare we all foresee that will one day consume our way of life and have the average man replaced by those who won't put up a fight…. For now.

“PICK UP”

Sex, Drugs and RocknRoll, The party has to end at some point and this tune is about those difficult times.  We join a loser and his struggle with the downward spiral that is the dreaded comedown and how looking for your next fix may lead you down a very dark path and not one you would normally expect.

“PLEASE WAIT”

As the title suggests, we touch upon the delicate subject that has consumed our lives for the last 2 years, Covid-19. It's an argument between the two dominant opinions we hear today. You're either sick and tired and want your lives back or scared and willing to bear the isolation and torment to save the lives of our vulnerable.  

“HIVE” 

A trip to the astral plane now finds us following a character who has been confronted by something he has never seen before and while in conversation with this being is told a dark truth about his existence. He must live out the lives of every human being and creature that has ever been or ever will be and once he has done so he will learn the true meaning of life.

“THE ARBITER”

We close our journey with this high energy, fast paced belter of a song that brings us back to basics, Not just in its thrashy and somewhat classic metal bare bones sound but with our story being about a choice, To kill or not to kill? If you can take one life of pure evil to save a million more, is it justified?
