Asad Abbas started singing from a very early age when he was only 5 years old.


His paternal grandfather "Muhammad Khuda Bakhsh" was a known tabla player within his community. Even his Maternal grandfather "Mohammad Saadiq muhd Iqbal" was a famous folk singer of his time. He was under apprenticeship with "Ustaad Hassan Saadiq" who was his Guru who trained him to perfection in Singing http://youtu.be/D_ShWn5LZQAas well as gained knowledge about classical music.


His elder brother "Ali Abbas" is also a talented singer gaining popularity in the music scene these days. His cousin Amanat Ali as well is quite a famous singer himself having performed in SA RE GA MA PA middle east challenge.


Pakistan Sangeet Icon was a reality-based singing competition shown on MTV Pakistan, Indus TV and Gkaboom & Asad Abbas was the winner of the first Pakistan Sangeet Icon reality competition.


Asad also had the privilege to host a music show on Indus TV network by the name of "Yeh sham Mastaani" which was quite popular amongst music listeners.


Asad later joined a famous classical / Sufi band "Mekaal Hasan Band" in mid-2010 as a Lead vocalist and in process of finalizing their next music album for launch soon!
