"Fam Records News: the new release from Morpha is here.
This’s his first full-length album in two years. What does it sound like? Morpha explains.
I stopped making music in my usual genre, so I spent a long time experimenting and searching for a new sound. In that sense, the FAM label became a place where I could finally feel free. An important symbiosis happened — core values aligned with my need for something new.
How did it all start? I literally opened Ableton and went into the unknown. No reference tracks, just a desire to create something fresh. I was interested in layering my hypnotic background with new BPMs and rhythms, trying out breaks and bass sounds. These tracks weren’t inspired by any other artist.
At the same time, I was working on a dancefloor project at Mutabor on Masalnaya, embedding those same 85/170 experiments. That’s a profound and significant experience for me — hence the release’s name. There’s no need to look for a direct connection between that experience and the tracks themselves. I’d say it just sounds cool, looks good, and it’s a personal milestone for me."
