Deepsoundz are very proud to present Podcast #41 David Keno.
It's been a storming and busy, decade-spanning rollercoaster ride for the Bern, Switzerland-born and now Berlin-based DJ, producer and Keno Records founder David Keno since he stepped on the scene with his debut EP „Take The World“ back in 2004.  Influenced by bands and musicians like Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield and Depeche Mode and being classically trained on guitar and drums the young David Keno started his musical journey playing in various Rock-focused band outfits throughout his youth whilst a growing love and fascination for electronic music soon led into early drum machine and synth experiments, followed by first remixes and more electronic edits for the bands he played in.  Having mastered his electronic studio setup and fully turned his head onto electronic music he quickly started to carve out a musical niche of his own, incorporating elements from both the House and Techno ends of the spectrum, unfolding complex and vibrant, sometimes even playful melodic layers on top of a straight and dancefloor-functional foundation, catering maximum impact and high energy levels whilst sending punters into ecstatic heavens with his recent productions.  After taking the scene by storm with the „Bubble Bath EP“, a record released under his Vernis alias via Pocketgame and critically acclaimed not only for the massive remix created by Trentemøller which became a club favourite of 2005, things started to skyrocket for David Keno who – now mainly focusing on productions under his own name – quickly became a sought-after producer and remixer after his first club hit.  Backed by a string of releases on labels like David Corrado's i220 as well as remixes crafted for the likes of Samuel L Session, G-Man, Alex Bau and even a rework commissioned for the Trans-X's classic „Living On Video“ alongside a buzzing DJ- and live schedule which has taken him to places all over the globe ever since, the launch of his own label Keno Records in 2007 was much more than a mandatory and logical step for David Keno.

We are delighted to bring on the outstanding Andrei Niconoff to our PHW Elements imprint. For those of you, being close to us, and following all our steps we take, know he is an artist being featured on our first born baby, PHW [Progressive House Worldwide]. 

Here he is with a deep progressive production than we normally see from him through us, but he is a producer with a plethora of sounds and a quality to build what he want through his DAW and he is showing it off here. 

“Bright Overtones”, as this track is named is a warm and driving deep progressive production, filled with all the right things to build another quality production. It’s pack with swelling melodies, great grooves and that crisp sounds that is to bring you on a feel good journey. 

On remix duty, we see 2 great additions joining back on the label, and first out is none other than the brilliant Greenage, hailing from India. Being a producer, known for his skilled productions, we of course are delighted to being able to bring him back to the PHW Elements imprint, and he delivers once again for us. His re-take is a true groover, filled with superb layers of sounds building that great atmosphere and energy into the track. It is absolutely gorgeous stuff here with the strong groove taking control of us. 

Another remix is brought on to build the release with another dimension as well, and we are thrilled to bring on the sounds of one of Colombias finest, Jonnas B once again. He’s been with us in the past, and there is a reason why we wanted to bring him on for this one as well. Freshly squeezed sounds is being brought together to give the release another twist and tweak, and he is delivering as good as always with his monster. It is fully packed with great atmosphere, a stunning groove and all those melodic layers on top of that, enough said, another marvellous piece of progressive is here, and we are certain this is one for you.
