Three years after his previous outing, the elusive prince of noise 111X returns to Changeless with his monumental paragon ‘Shame’.

Born amidst a period of personal collapse and the cathartic realisation of inadequacy and finiteness, ‘Shame’ traverses devastatingly beautiful, dreamlike sonic realms. The record delves into the temporal and fleeting nature of our corporeality, how the smallest tremors can ultimately shake you to your very core.

’Shame’ sees 111X expand upon his distinct palette of unwavering noise, somber melodies and staggered drums with brooding guitar drones, adding a newfound depth to the sorrow found throughout his oeuvre. Let it wash over your trembling flesh, and you will come out the other side as an unstoppable force.

'Shame' will be released March 10th via Changeless.

Berlin-based label Post Hoc presents their eighth release, “Summer’s End Vol. 3”, featuring 8 young artists from various musical backgrounds. Forming the third edition of a soundtrack as the summer comes to a close, the compilation explores the combination of various sentiments: Of nostalgia, passion, and melancholy, a visceral passage traversing morning breezes and hazy nights. “Summer’s End Vol. 3” recollects a memory, paying tribute to a feeling that is no more, but is sure to return once again.

After a brief cameo on the quadruple tape beast "Auditory" (2018), Evitceles is back on Sound+Matter / Sores. This time heʼs making a full-length appearance. Following acclaimed releases for electronic powerhouses as Opal Tapes, Yerevan Tapes, Seagrave or Sofia-based Amek Collective among others, Bulgarian producer Etien Slavchev presents 'Нелюбовʼ. Roughly translating in English as 'Nonloveʼ itʼs exactly what youʼll get from the record. "Нелюбов" is mostly occupying the lower ends of both the frequency and the emotional specters of Evitcelesʼ music.

Choosing to serve the music narrative through a fluidly morphing tracklist, Evitceles once again indulges into his signature genre-bending approach. His music doesnʼt stay on the same place for too long. Instead itʼs a relentless mixture of peaks and come-downs. From the bleak and disrupted soundscapes of Memory Loss through the sparse ambience of the self-titled track, the cavernous trip-hop vibe of Weak Eyes or his well-known post-club brutalism in Poisonous Fragnance and Percolating Crawl. Evitceles is still big on producing drum-heavy music, dripping with cut-up emotional textures. However, atmosphere is all in "Нелюбов" so donʼt be surprised when you hear him wrapping the album with not one or two, but three drifting long-form pieces, because in the end of the day everything is meant to die in silence."

“A rough-hewn pendulum, Cruel Intentions swings between Shredded Nerve’s previous LP and this year's Acts of Betrayal, vacillating between the noisy and the serene through crude loops and environmentally-specific recordings, driven by hope for the future and exhaustion of the day's burden. Like an apartment building collapsing inwards, no listener is safe from the debris of glass, metal, wood and electricity Shredded Nerve employs. While previous works have focused on blunt repetition, Lakes embraces his sounds' desire to sprawl out and infect each other throughout these five pieces. The opener ("Burning Arrival") brings the same sort of twisted backward violin sound found on the Butthole Surfers' "Creep in the Cellar" but manages to further elucidate this terror with discreet scrapings and the gathering of small objects before lumbering up the stairs, arms full of white hot static interference. The errant crackling through heavy tones and cheap, ringing steel, synthesized warping and vitric ritualistic knocks serve to take us further out of ourselves, looking through a thick window as we slowly age. Tension and dread are at this end, but what awaits on the other side?”

Shredded Nerve is the primary output of multimedia artist Justin Lakes. Drawing from a palette of found sound, electroacoustic amplification, and analog synthesis, his work is composed through the
use of handmade cassette loops which have come to be known as his signature. Originally based in Cincinnati, Lakes has operated out of Brooklyn since 2014 where he co-founded the record store Thousands of Dead Gods and subsequent tape label Dead Gods. In addition to publishing printed materials of collages and flyers, he also runs the limited edition CDr imprint Small Mercies. Cruel Intentions is Shredded Nerve's 2nd LP, a follow up to 2016's In The Shadow Of What Never Was.
