Everyone knows that Say You’ll Be There is the second best Spice Girls song (Who Do You Think You Are edits have been done a few times, and I’ve shelved my dark acid edit of that for now… but will finish it one day!). So anyway, here’s my version - done my usual stems thing to add some vocal solos and the like, beefed up the percussion and bass, got rid of some of the annoying bits and dialled up some other bits. Not much else to say except dig in, enjoy, and thank you.

this is an oldschool mix , made for self-theraphy, but hopefully it will make you dance grab your headphones and turn up the volume

as usual these months, the session was really simple and fun.  I just made a folder with all my DJ promos from June , selected the opening track, and started mixing. the rest happened on the fly. no planning, no preparations, just a really intense hour with mixing. like in the ’90s when I made my radio shows
needless to say, this was played live and recorded with Algoriddim's djay on my iPad. first take, no postproduction

Here's another instalment of my series focussing on one particular artist, producer or record label and this time I've chosen one of my all time faves - The 6th Borough Project. Ever since I've discovered the underground disco and house scene I think I've rarely played a set that doesn't contain one of their tracks or remixes, such is the staying power of their productions. Fingerman ♥︎'s The 6th Borough Project

as a child of the glorious sixties, our little dr. aschengold was heavily influenced by stevie wonder, soul, philly sound and then, of course, disco!
but since he also enjoyed listening to pop, new wave and mostly jazz, he ultimately developed a taste that you might call eclectic, if this wouldn't sound so posh, so let's call it freestyle.
djing since 1985, aschengold still believes that a dj set should start with hip hop, then some funk, disco, finally house... not being afraid of tempo breaks and cheesy edits in between.
