I wrote this song for the people. I feel like God gave me a voice for healing. Hopefully it helps someone get through a hard time. It took me a couple days to get the Outro right. I couldn't hold back the tears singing this shit, because it's like I'm giving myself the advice I needed when I was down and out. 
The song inspires me to want to be the best ME I can be, so I figure it'll inspire someone else that's going through a hard time. We have so much we want to share with you. Tracy Chapman is one of my favorite Country singers. This song came out before I was even born, but something made me sing it. I feel like parts in this song really resonate with my life's story. I added my own little spin to it, because I could only sing it my way. I've always been very self conscious about my voice, but I'm learning new things about myself every single day.  The ancestors around me have so much faith in me. I've been running from music for some years. But now I feel this spiritual force pushing me in this direction. This time around I refuse to give up. I'ma prove God right. I am just a messenger.
