Though his roots trace back to Manchester's underground scene, he has masterfully redefined the interplay between building sonic tension and atmospheric release. His high-intensity tracks create irresistible momentum on the dance floor—a bold fusion of musical vision, tradition and innovation.
Central to ASEC's distinct identity is his modular live set—a storytelling journey that showcases his expansive musical vision. Through a blend of dark textures and idiosyncratic melodies, ASEC offers a live performance that goes beyond the conventional, as demonstrated in his Boiler Room debut last year.
A music technology innovator, ASEC has been instrumental in advancing the landscape of electronic music production, particularly through his leading contributions to Ableton Live. Far from a mere technical endeavor, this work has allowed him to push electronic music production and live performance into uncharted territories, manifesting a skill set and sound palette unparalleled in the techno landscape.
ASEC's recent releases include a full-length EP on Counterchange Recordings titled 'Trauma Bond,' and a vinyl debut on Ellen Allien’s BPitch.
