There are over 7000 women fighters on the border of Northern Syria. These women are collectively known as the YPJ or the Women's Protection Unit, an all-women unit. They are fighting on the front line against IS / Daesh. To build a new society in Rojava, they are forced to defend themselves. Until recently I was unaware of their existence.

The vertigo is the dynamization of the architectural space. Music dynamises the acoustic space. Vertigo is longing for the fall. Music a swinging safety net.
The piece Modus vertiginis (Mo.ve. for short) was written in 2017 and reflects sonically upon the feeling of vertigo. In the composition, I experimented with the internal and spatial movement of sounds.

In sociology, patriarchy is a social system in which males hold primary power and predominate in roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege and control of property. In the domain of the family, fathers or father-figures hold authority over women and children. Some patriarchal societies are also patrilineal, meaning that property and title are inherited by the male lineage.

Historically, patriarchy has manifested itself in the social, legal, political, religious and economic organization of a range of different cultures. Even if not explicitly defined to be by their own constitutions and laws, most contemporary societies are, in practice, patriarchal.

Feminist theory defines patriarchy as an unjust social system that enforces gender roles and is oppressive to both men and women. It often includes any social, political, or economic mechanism that evokes male dominance over women. Feminist theory typically characterizes patriarchy as a social construction, which can be overcome by revealing and critically analyzing its manifestations.
