‘Idéa’ is Alpak’s debut EP on Mexican imprint Secuencias Temporales (ST). The Israelite artist created a four-track EP including a wide variety of sounds where percussion is always leading. The first track ‘Idéa’ is a slow-paced rather organic sounding piece of music containing steel-like drum sounds floating around a deep bassline, creating an extensive sonic dimension. 

‘Circular Experience’, the second track of the EP, hails towards a more techno-influenced sound fusing with the percussive experience from the first track of the EP. Daunting loops replicating alongside convoluted soundscapes give this track an other-worldly post-club aura. 

‘Enso’ is an evolving mood-maker that starts at the core of Alpak’s sound. Percussive rhythms transition into emotional synth lines that build up to a large ambience covered in FM synthesis. From this point, the track turns around making its way back to the humble, yet effective rhythmic exploration of the artist.  

The EP finishes off with ‘Bento’, a unique piece of music consisting of both stellar pads, glitchy percussive and a piano-like melody. The piece contributes a lot to Sequencias Temporales’ mindset. Where the label is not focused on genres, but rather on deep atmospheres and complex textures. Where the music truly contains a piece of its artist, shaped with soul and intelligence.

Whispers of the Valley is a three-part opus, highlighting the talent of emerging and established artists alike, including a remix by Luigi Tozzi. The project came to life with a field recording sample bank gathered during a workshop at La Vallée Electrique 2022,
from which we asked producers to compose a unique track using at least one sample.

Whispers of the Valley Part. 1 [MLF011]

The valley is quiet and silent, only disturbed by the light whispering of the wind in the
trees. The sounds are soft and soothing, mixing rhythmic notes and murmuring voices.
The melodies envelop the tranquil landscape and invite to a meditative walk.

Sunlight streams through the leaves, creating shifting shadows on the valley floor. The
songs of the bees add to the natural melody and complete the calm and peaceful
landscape. The golden hour approaches …

Part 3 of this EP series is set for release on 06th May.

Troekurovo recordings is a series of live jams taking place deep in russian woods once a year. No preperation, pre-programming or DAW's used. Hardware, friends and live improvisation only. Session 2018 involves live modular synth jam heavily.
